Please help. Need information on Baclofen

Hi. I'm really scared right now because my doctor just gave me a new drug to take. He says it will help me sleep. I asked him for someone to help me sleep. There is only so much he can give me because i'm an recovering drug addict. He prescribed me Baclofen. I've tried melotonin. It worked but I started having to up the doses to large amounts and I didn't think it was safe to do that. I'm going to get my prescription of Baclofen tomorrow. I'm just scared because I don't want it to make me feel weird. I just want to have a good night's sleep. Some medicines have made me feel weird and I don't like those kinds of feelings. Like i'm not here. I HATE IT! Has anyone else taken this drug before? I'm not looking to get high or anything like that. I just want to sleep.

I currently take, Suboxone, Metoprolol, Strattera, and Geodone. My doctor says it will be safe for me to take it. My mind is in a really fragile state right now and I can't afford for this medicine to make me feel crazy. I just can't. I always get paranoid before I take a new medicine. This is how I was before I started taking the melotonin.

 

baclofen kinda gives you a really pleasant drunk-ish feeling after 2 hours, and it lasts for a few more.

i really liked it.

 

baclofen is a muscle relaxer generally used for multiple schlerosis. I think its irresponsible of a doctor to prescribe it for sleep. It does make you feel quite not there..a bit unattached to reality, but still in reality.

 

I see... Well i'm going to take it 2nite.. Hopefully it won't freak me out..

 

Anyone else have anymore information?

Well I have good news. I took 1 20mg of Baclofen and it worked wonders to help me sleep. I had a great night sleep. Only woke up once during the night and normally I wake up 4 times at least. Before I recommend it, I need to take it more often to help me sleep. Very great start though.

 

yeah its pretty nice, i had this stuff from like 2 years ago recently found the bottle, goes nice witha couple beers too.
