Please help me!! please

i just got outta jail... i was there for almost twenty hours cause i got in an argument at the bar (i know i shouldnt be drinking, i feel horrible) and the cops came last night.... i wanted to know why i was getting arrested and i wouldnt get in the car. i was then thrown to the ground, cuffed, HARD... i have bruises all over my arms and pepper sprays four times... APPARTENTLY, altho i DOUBT i did this and if i did.. it was an accident.. i kicked the cop in the balls.

dan bailed me out on 5 thousand dollers.

now, im being charged with aggravated assault...felony two and on line i read that if i get that charge, there is a two year MINIMUM in the state pen.-

anyways, the main thing of the charge is that the person KNOWINGLY AND WILLLINGLY evokes harm on a police officer...

IF i did it... i did not try it. i seriously didnt.

I NEED a good lawyer and i need one like monday. im prolly gonna end up selling my car if i can find someone to buy it...

Don't sell your car. There are tons of lawyers that take pro bono cases. Not the shoddy public defenders you see on TV, but decent lawyers. Many well respected attorneys take cases on a contingency basis...

I know in Lancaster there are tons of lawyers that work with people charged with DUI. I'd suggest trying some of those folks. Especially if you can prove the cop used unneccesary force on you, or acted inappropriately. The lawyers may know a way to make a case for you..Or, maybe lessen the charge.

I know this is not the time or place to beat this home, but I'm going to say this because I give a shit. You got to clean up. Ever since you ended up in PA, you have been battling a whole lot of demons. I don't want you to end up in a worse situation than the one you are in.

The courts may take it easy on you if they see that you are making a conserted effort to get sober, if you walk into court in the same mode you were in at the bar - you're going to end up in Muncy.

Call a lawyer *now*, and if you are drinking, pour that shit down the sink. Go to ER, get some help.

 

So much as ask why, and to them it's resisting arrest, and in there minds perfectly fine to assault you... I wish every cop to be shot in the fucking head...
I hope you can do something.... I I was facing that, I seriously don't know what I'd do... I spent a week in jail once, and I am NEVER being locked up again...

 

That's just horrible, they should hardly even fine you if no one didn't get seriously injured. I keep my thumbs crossed that you get a good public lawyer and a fair trial. (meaning they should let you of with a minor fine or something). Best of luck and be strong, man!

Aw geez! Candles are lit for you, and more. There are legal counsels online that let you ask for help for free and will get back to you in 24 hours. Do a search for legal forums, legal help forums. Some are pro bono. I use this for work sometimes and it's pretty good. Hang in there interval.

 

yeah, it sucks. the holding cell was horrible today and i really really really do not plan on going back there. i really dont know what to do. i think if i can get a good lawyer then i might be okay... still in trouble but maybe just community service, probation, fine, etc.- im not even worried about that stuff. i do NOT wanna go to jail.

i guess if they sent. me, i have three options then... skipping town, killing myself and the state penetentary....hmmmmm those all seem like such wonderful choices.

Just try and fuind a good lawyer, and like people have said, get them to realize it was excessive force etc... Really if they throw on the ground, what the hell do they expect, you to just take it? It's your right to defend yourself, whether they are cops or not, fucking pigs should get no special priviledges...

 

if you were that intoxicated, how could you knowingly and willingly kick the cop?seems to me like you have a decent case and like others said, there are some pretty decent pro bono lawyers out there.

patrick... you're completly right and im sure most people would see it that way but for some reason most cops have huge fucking attitudes and egos and think that THEY can do whatever they want but if someone else kicks them when they're being thrown around...they get a felony.

i am gonna try my best to get a good lawyer and that phrase "willingly and knowingly blah blah blah" COULD be my life-savor cause it was NEITHER. now ill just see if the judge believes me which is where a good lawyer can help......

you konw its funny how being in prison puts things in perspective. now all im interested in and i know this might sound cheesy... i just wanna hold my husband and my cats forever and ever and never let them go. thats all i was thinking about in that cell...

 

All I could think about in jail was how I wished I had freedom and privacy... Even the little things, waking up and having a smoke, or being able to go for a run, or hang out with friends... Stuff like that... I couldn't stand the attitudes of the fucking guards, like we weren't even people... It made me sick...
