*A Droplet Of Rain* A droplet of rain Falls onto my face I am lying in my bed Trying to say grace Upon further inspection I can see There is a hole in my ceiling The size of a pea So I clog it with some gum And tried to get back to sleep Only to have the gum fall out And get stuck on my feet The droplets began to come The rain pouring outdoors I'm thinking what to do So I don't get water on the floors The hole has grown now To the size of a dime The water is falling quicker I am running out of time Now it begins to pour My room is getting wet I have to save all of my possessions Including my pet I suddenly hear A cracking noise of some sort And the ceiling collapses It feels as if I am at port My room is a goldfish bowl An aquarium if you will I use my bed as a raft And try not to get killed A river is cascading Down the center of my room It will surely carry me To my utter doom With waters like rapids And feeling of ice so cold I ride the killer waves And wait for the adventure to unfold But wait what's this A sound so keen I awake from my sleep To find this only a dream
Thats good... kind of exciting... but i think instead of haivng it be a dream, you make it have a meaning.. like you said you were trying to say grace, and your clutching to your possesions as this water pours... maybe this water could be symbolic in this sense, like your consiousness breaking through its bounderies.. or somethin haha, thats where i thought it might be going.
Yea, thanks for the comment. I wrote it 2 days ago and I needed someones opinion on it. I will take into consideration what you said...thx
