I completely agree. I've only played in original bands that may throw in a cover once a show.

Hell yeah I totally agree with you!

Playing my music is my favourite thing to do ever. I find it intoxicating and I love getting lost in the groove when I play with my band. We're playing tonight and practice today so it's so freakin' great :D

The only thing that's more satisfying is hearing somebody else play it well.

I love playing my own stuff. I've recorded 3 "Albums" that barely anyone has heard, but I don't care, just gimme an acoustic gweetar and I'm happy. I also do electric gweetar, drums, and bass tracks on my own. Just for my own satisfaction.

yeh playing ur own stuff just feeeeels so much more real.... especially when u get ur head bobs down to a science... lol...

even if it's uncreative, coming up with my own stuff on bass feels really groovey/funky

i have this particular set of 4 chords i play. i get an intense rush when i really get into them, playing them over and over again (theres notes involved too but its still over and over).

after some research ive concluded that it is a surge of either dopamine or adrenaline. the thing is, it seems more like dopamine in its feeling, its exciting, its rewarding its like 'yeh this is why i do this, im so intensely satisfied'. but at the same time, its very physical, my body tenses, and its not addictive. like i dont sit tehre playing it all day.

i get it from listening to music which inspires music euphoria (same feeling, really) but this particular tune takes it to a new level wheni get into it.

it has special meaning between me and two of my friends, but it is very special to us so i wont talk about it.
