Playing An Instrument While High

Well, I'm high right now. My fingers are in pain and I just got done playing guitar.

I realize everytime I'm high, when I play guitar, for like 5-10 minutes...I absolutely suck...I can't do shit...and then I play the easiest riff in the world. Smoke on the Water. And I can play everything as best I can, right away after calming down and getting into that riff haha

So yeah, anyone else have trouble playing guitar while high, at first, and then all the sudden just fucking love it and go crazy and do your best?

i wish i played guitar so i could while high

 

i come up with a lot of sounds when stoned or high. you definaetly have to get into the groove. a simple riff can simply help get you in that groove pretty quick, and then you can become comfortbale with doing other stuff.

 

I play stoned and sober (piano and guitar and singing).. but I prefer to do it stoned as the music I play comes deeper to me (I write my own stuff). If I'm sober its just not as fun. I do it sober aswell though.

 

i sit around and pound on my djembe when im all stoned... i come up with some pretty crazy rythms... but usually i can only go through them once.. i'll try hooking it and redoing it.. and i stumble because im all stoned and forget how it went exactly

 

Only instrument I play is the trumpet in school. And I've tried it once a bit after smoking, couldn't play at all.

i play the drums and the guitar and the piano and i find that playing while sober is easierl. when i play whenever im high my brain begins to interperate the playing of the music in a different way. its kindof hard to explain but for example if i was playing a drum beat i would begin to concentrate on how high i swung my arms and then i would fuck up the beat. that probably made no sense but if you understand a word of it then thats basically what happens to me.

but whenever i did it high, it was just fuckin around to hear what i wanted pretty much, i wasnt actually trying to get better

 

Yeah, I agree wiuth what some of you are trying to say (so it seems)...it's not that playing is harder, it's that concentrating on what 'm trying to accomplish is harder. I'm just more easily distracted haha

when i started getting into stoned playing i totally neglected my skills training in favour of making sounds with the skills i had

 

i love to play guitar and sing, it feels wonderful

 

I love playing my guitar while stoned. The sounds i think of in my head can flow through my fingers without much thought at all.....it just kinda moves outa my head and through the guitar. The only problem is that i get easily sidetracked into playing all kinds of stuff randomly...lol.

 

I dont know i take the instrument and im so much better at it when high.
