How do you feel about botox, boob jobs, cosmetic pussy surgery, etc...

You for it or do you think it is a complete and utter waste of money?

Would you do it? If not, why?

I would rather be tied up to an uncomfortable couch, being forced to watch Adam Sandler movies for days straight Clockwork Orange style than have plastic surgery.

Even though... I would probably like facial reconstruction surgery... if I get in an accident, or if I decide to eat my own face.

I think plastic surgery is nonsense. Rather put the same energy in human surgery.

I dont' care one way or another... it can be good, like BraveSirRuben was saying, if something bad happen... but i don't thing I would do something like that... no one's perfect and the one's who think they are, are ugly inside anyway... and that stuff doenst hide the ugly on the inside...

After I know I don't want anymore kids I want a tummy tuck and a breast lift/reduction because I am a bit sloppy now for my age unlessw I workout a lot...which I haven't done in a long time...but should do. and can only imagine how much worse it gets after having kids.

well there's corrective as well as elective. corrective is like if you get half your face shot off or totally munged in a car wreck or something, and they can make you look something like somewhere near human again i think that's great.

but messing with you're appearance just to be doing so, or to make yourself look younger, well, i don't think it's up to me, everyone is welcome to feel for themselves however they feel about it, but cosmetic surgery like cosmetic anything else, is mostly vanity and doesn't make anyone look all that much better to me.

unless they make themselves look like something that looks better then human, and surgery can't and or doesn't quite do that. i think when they get recombinant dna down to where it can be done that way, then i think that would be the way to give ourselves pointy ears and long fluffy tails.

and bigger certainly isn't always, or even usually prettier. i think boob jobs just are and look dumb.

While it is a little creepy when people take it to the extreme, if a minor surgery such as a nose-job, tummy tuck or breast enhancement can help to make someone a lot happier with themselves, then more power to them.

A high school classmate had huge breasts starting from a very young age (size F or something). She was always a tomboy, very athletic and hated her breasts. She got reduction surgery the summer after we graduated and for once in her life she was happy with the way she looked.

While there's nothing I'd get done at this point in my life, I'm not opposed to the idea for myself.

seem geared for the women only. Though tons of men nowadays have jus as much procedures. Personally. I will prob try and keep in tact untill Im about 50..then I will gladly let it go and turn into an old fat slob probably who gets stoned all day haha

i think plastic surgury is fucking stupid and i feel strongly about it.

ive broken my nose 3 times, and now its all crooked and out of whack. but you know what?? i really wouldnt feel like myself without it. whatever is on the outside, its a part of you. if you want to alter it then you dont love
yourself. and nobody can love someone who doesnt love themself. plastic surgury wont change that.

people are too fucking shallow these days. i wish people could just be real. wrinkles and scars and flaws are signs of life, they add character and its beautiful. people put way too much emphasis on looks. i live next door to this young ass kid who got shot in the face & is missing an eye, but he has the prettiest girlfriend. looks arent everything and its not what makes a person.

a few years ago i went to my doctor with chest pains. she examined me and it was determined the cause of the pain was actually the weight of my breasts. when i was nursing my daughter i was an I cup. i didn't even know they came in that letter of the alphabet until i was measured for nursing bras. (that's like the equivalent of a triple-F cup, which meant at the time each boob was about the size of my head.) i'm sure there'll be some dumbass guy to post a comment he thinks is funny about having breasts that large, but seriously, they are painful and cumbersome, not to mention expensive to, ah, support.

she told me she would recommend a breast reduction, as the size of my breasts were causing pain in the chest, and lower back, negatively affecting my posture, making it hard to sleep (no tummy-sleeping for me) causing other complications and generally getting in the way, not to mention making it difficult to find clothes that fit and requiring expensive custom-made bras. however, there was no guarantee that i'd be able to nurse if i ever got pregnant again, so i refused.

through post-pregnancy weight-loss and weaning my daughter i am now down to a more comfortable G-cup (maybe about a quadruple D?) and don't get chest pain quite so often, although i still get it now and then and still have poor posture. (literally the weight of my breasts makes my body slouch foreward and hunch slightly at the shoulders.)

would i consider a reduction, especially since i'm not planning on any more kids? no. i don't think i could bring myself to unless the pain became unbearable. but i can understand why people would. i don't consider it vain. there's nothing vain or sexy or beautiful about being in pain. in fact, i think the knee-jerk "looks aren't that important, plastic surgery is evil" response to be rather thoughtless and judgemental. looks aren't that important. being able to keep your spine straight and not in pain, however, is.

i've also had to consider rhinoplasty (commonly known as a "nose job") but not because i don't like the look of my nose. actually, i love my nose, and should it be determined i'd need the surgery, i'd want it done so the appearance of my nose isn't altered. rhinoplasty isn't just for vain girls wanting model-perfect button noses. it's medical use is for correcting breathing problems like sleep apnea, which is what my father had the surgery for. my last boyfriend expressed concern about sleep apnea, and the crookedness of my nose (only apparent if you're staring up my nostrils) does make breathing difficult at times. again, looks aren't that important. but try to tell me that breathing isn't, and well, i'll ignore you because i know that's idiotic.

if you really feel you must pass judgement, pass judgement against the perceived or imagined reasons some people may choose unnecessary surgery, not against the procedure itself.

who are you to deem what is uneccesary though? You're just as closed minded as people who bash it in general. It's a fact that the better looking you are the better you are treated in life. So who's to say that getting surgery to better one's appearance isn't solving unessecary emotional pain?

I hate the idea of unnecessary plastic surgery. Be grateful with what you have, be grateful that you don't have deformities or abnormalities, be grateful that you're alive. Don't waste your time, money, effort, and pain on something as shallow as plastic surgery.

I can understand plastic surgery for medicinal reasons, however. I don't even think of it as plastic surgery then.
