I like the new movie better than the old one, Charlton Heston is great but the old movie is long and boring IMO

I kinda hate the new one. I mean, Burton could'a done a lot better. And the old one's so kitchy, thas why it's a classic. Did anyone notice that in the newer film, the old monkey who died was chalton heston?

Charlton Heston's character is just such a jerk though, it's kind of hard to expect him as the protagonist. What I liked about the new version is how they incorporated the classic lines, sort of warped: "Get your hands off me, you damn dirty human!"
But the best version is obviously the Simpson's parody: "Well I guess I was wrong, it was earth all along! . . . Now you've finally made a monkey (Yes we've finally made a monkeeey) out of me!"
