I'm just starting to get back into it myself. Personally I love to go sit in this little grove on the outskirts of our land with a good book and my meditation balls. Helps me clear my head quite well. Anybody else got places they like to go or things they like to do?
We've got a bench just outside the back garden looking up one of the waterways in the marina. I just sit and watch the light dance and soak up the ambience.. got some coots that I've been watching over the past couple of weeks that have made a nest on something... not sure what it is, but it's right in the middle of the waterway.. no shelter or anything, and they seem quite happy. Strange
When I feel stress--I go to a hammock strung between two palm trees right by a lagoon on a small South pacific island. A gentle breeze is passing by on its way somewhere, the water is clear enough to see the sand on the bottom 15 feet below as if no water was above it. Little children are playing in the background. Voila---stress gone.
By the Palais Royale in downtown Toronto at the end of Ronsy St. (short form to the bus drivers). The wind used to blow extraordinarily much too much (in the early 2000's) One would cross the bridge and to his wonder and amazement think that the Global change was based on the wasteland of development needing to suck out the carbon dioxide from the city's heart. It wasn't pollution; it was the dynamic of the marketing and destruction for it of every semblance for knowing any continued bio-diversity in the region of High Park. The plants and animals wished it for man to get busy again, and have Sex. There doesn't seem to be as much wind blowing across the Lakeshore Blvd. anymore.
It doesn't sound very exciting but my meditation room is at the NE of the house, and I meditate facing West (as I was told to do by Vajrayana teachers - instruction just for me). In the mornings the sun comes through the curtains over my shoulder from behind and bathes the room in a golden light. It's quite sublime.
