Are you a pipe smoker?

Who are the pipe smokers in here?

Probably not that many, we are the silent minority.

I smoke a small african black wood pipe. Good quality wood, last a long time, easy to clean if you have the right tools and experience. And they are also handy for stealth smoking.

When I go round to my mates for a beer and a smoking/musics and films session they all smoke joints, and I'm the only one who smokes a pipe. I don't mind this but they're always asking to borrow my pipe, all the time and I think sometimes- buy your own pipe(s)!?

Pipes take time to maintain, and they put rocks down the hole and slevver all over it.

This is also another reason why I like wooden pipes, wood has natural anti-bacterial properties and you can just burn the end with a lighter and it's clean and slevver free.

 

what the hell is slevver?

you can easily flame the end of a glass pipe to sterilize it too. plus, glass doesn't give an extra taste like wood and metal do.

but i really don't like pipes. too hot and harsh for me. i prefer water filtration - no way you get burning ash in your throat that way.

though i could use a bowl for times away from home and in the car. i always have to roll joints for those occasions, and sometimes my weed is too good to "waste" in a joint.

too bad my buddy broke my bowl and doesn't seem like he's gonna replace it.

 

Slevver is saliva.

I once had a glass pipe, had it for all three days. Then I dropped it and it snapped.

That was the end of my experiences with glass pipes.

I once heard a story about a guy in India who dropped a x-tal chillum, and it snapped in two. The rest of the circle were not amused.

It's kind of hard to find decent glass pipes though, they are expensive and good ones are rare as hen's teeth.

Wood is the most practical for me, for all purposes.

 

The same thing happened to me. a few days latter I drop it and broke it. that's why I stick to my wooden pipe or metal

 

Yeah I smoke out of a wooden pipe I got it from a smoke shop, not a head shop but a shop for tobacco.

Naw L's are a waste of weed

 

I've always prefered pipes, but since I don't care to travel dirty I don't use it outside the house (easier to eat a joint than a pipe). And since I rarely smoke weed anyway, I rarely have a chance to use it.

 

i use mostly pipes but if we're going to a show we'll usually roll joints to sneak in or for before and after. they have that really classic feel to them that i really love blunts are usually smoked at shindigs around here or if a good few of us are hanging out. i can't really do bongs to be honest. they just give me an intense high that leaves me feeling awkwardly uncomfortable for the first half of the high.

 

Idk pipes seem like they're a lot more convenient especially since I don't know how to roll yet, and you can get just as good rips from a pipe as you get from a blunt maybe even better.

 

is exactly the reason i switched to jays and now it's become my preference.

 

you probably just take too big of rips. and maybe too big of a bong. i smoke a bong everyday pretty much, but it's only ~10 inches tall.

 

I like hookah and cigars.. Never got into pipes.

(I do have a couple glass ones, but not for tabacco)

 

I like bongs, I just make sure I only pack enough for a small hit cuz when you use a bong you absorb 100% of the thc in the hit.

 

pipe just cuz its easy and quick.prefer joints or blunts but im too lazy to break it up enough to roll it and then roll it.not really a big fan of bongs and shit though.

 

My old lady and I used to only smoke blunts, but the price of weed and blunts went up so now we just pipe it. She has a 5 inch spoon that is color changing and I have a bubbler.

 

yeah im no bong expert so i can never seem to really tell just how much smoke i'm letting build up -_- i smoked out of a fairly short one a few days ago and i was in my own little world for a while haha.. also hadn't eatin anything and barely drank any water but once i did i felt better and was able to chill out and ride it through. meh at least i can control the anxiety now and not let myself panic.

 

I've had my glass pipe for 5 years. I smoke one bowl out of it every night before I go to sleep.
