I wan't to bring a pipe with me back to my country from the US. I am not 18 years old yet, so I don't know if I will get in trouble on the airport. I don't know what to do, I'm not sure what's the right thing. So please, if anyone knows something about this help me... I wan't to bring this pipe with me, it's so sweet... peace
Make sure it's discreet, or at least not too big, wrap it up in some paper and you should be alright. Just make sure you haven't used it yet. If there's any resin then they CAN and probably will arrest you for having it if they find it. I know some people who had no trouble with bringing them though the airport. Remember, it's just for tobacco.
make sure its clean like the dude above me said, put it in like a pocket and roll it up, then put it in your cloths bag and you will probably be good.
No way, unless it's resin free. And if you do decide to take it, just put it in your check luggage (you really don't want to get searched), and maybe leave a note for the customs people, referring to your strange apparatus for pipe tobacco of course.
i´ve brought pipes INTO the US before with no problem. before arriving they make you fill out a customs form, listing everything you´re bringing into the country. i was obvious about it and wrote, "two pipes (glass)" no one ever checked or hassled me at all. they were totally clean and in a fairly large box wrapped in bubble wrap. i had them as a carry on. just make sure it´s clean and you´ll be OK. they´re not going to worry too much about a clean pipe - they´re looking for actual drugs and explosives/guns.
If its a glass, wood or ceramic pipe than just put it in your pocket. If its metal, put it in some checked baggage. Its perfectly legal to put a pipe in your checked bags. Oh and remeber, clean it before you go.
I wouldn't put it in your pocket. Not that it's illegal but you really don't need attention drawn to you while you're going through security. I'll say it again, getting searched sucks.
if it's clean why not carry it on your person, they usually dont "pat" you down at an airport and if it's not metal I dont see a problem.
oh they do pat you down at the airport if you fail the metal detector too many times. Although to be honest, some metal detectors are very innacurate. Once I walked thru the metal detector and it went off because i had my earrings on, so when I took it off and went through again, it didnt go off, and when I felt my pockets I found out I had one key left in there. But I wouldnt bring a pipe as a carry-on item. Surely even if its unresinated, the security will be interested and take it out to look... its just better to put it in your stow-away luggage so that you will be saved a lot of hastle. but if you dont care about ppl givin u a hard time then u can carry it on the plane...
*note: he said he was under 18. thus walking through a US plane place with it on his person would be illegal for him IF they found it. just toss it in the stow away for sure if you do it
