Pics Of Our Dreads

I wanted to start this thread and have everyone put a picture of their dreads (most recent pic) in the reply box. Each person's dreads are beautiful in their own way.

If we keep the comments to a minimum, we can pack in the most pics in the least space.

Thank you all for submitting pics! What beautiful dreadies! My dreads are 6 months old. I am editing this. I didn't mean for the pics to be that big. I am having a hell of an awful time with resizing. I resized them but they still came out huge. Sorry.

From what I read, her mom helped her comb them in. Also, she just wanted them! I bet she gets a lot of questions at school

 

thanks!! yes, it was entirely her idea. She'd been wanting dreads for over a year before I agreed to it. I started by backcombing, which didn't work so well at all, they just all came undone. So we have reverted to a more natural process, with a few locks twist-n-ripped for good measure. We don't do school. The other kids in our homeschool group think she's the coolest kid, and tell me that I'm the coolest mom (well, I do have purple hair )
