How do you like to play? Before today I had always used a pick, but i couldn't find any of mine earlier so I tried with just my fingers... and damn, I like it. [IMG]
I always had some kind of problem playing without a pick before, for some odd reason. [IMG]

i like using a pick, and with an accoustic it's mostly finger pickin.

Thumbpick and pick. Fingers are generally too warm... I use a thumbpick for Jazz and Fingerstyle Acoustic.

It depends what im playin. For most of my electric stuff i use a pick but for acoustic i would tend to use fingers. I love the sound you get when you use fingers. I would like to train my fingers so I can always use them but on some songs it would just complicate things a lot.

No PIC. I prefer a soft touch on steel strings.

i use picks for open chords, but if its gunna be single strings i like to use my fingers cause its faster for me...if i have both in the same song i either put the pick in my mouth or just drop it...ive ment to try thumb picks but havnt gotten round to it. i think they may help with pick slippage too

I'll use the front of my pointer finger to strum, but sometimes I play to hard and it bleeds, so I use a pick for about a week until it heals

I never use a pick. They're hard for me to hold on to, and on the rare occasion that I do use one, they fall inside the hole in my guitar.

Fingers, when I 1st got a guitar, I diddn't have a pick and never broughtt any for like a year, so I just learned with my fingers and that's what feels comfortable. With bass however though, I prefer a pick.

i like a pic. but i happen to be pretty damn good at classical style finger picking, so i will do that too and like it. im not too good with a thumb pic or a clawhammer. im getting into crosspicking now though. so im using a pic, but getting the same feel i get when i fingerpick.
in other words .. . it would be a sad world if not for both.

using fingers is ok for noodling around with chords and fingerstyle stuff, but at least from my experience its awfully hard to play riffs without a pick...lol
try playing malmsteen with your fingers
