Pick my setlist

Okay, I've got 3 songs to do for my schools talent show at the end of November. It will be my full band and I'll be doing vocals as well as playing lead guitar for the first time live.

Yeah, I figured out how to sing and play at the same time... I could never explain how I do it though.... I see it in my head though... It's fucked up.

Anyway I'm gonna list a bunch of songs that I think will go over well live.

Arsis - The Sadistic Motives Behind Bereavement Letters
Behemoth - Ov Fire And The Void
Brutal Truth - Denial Of Existence
Cannibal Corpse - Make Them Suffer
Death - Symbolic
Decapitated - Winds Of Creation
Deicide - When Satan Rules His World
Dying Fetus - Two Streaks Of Blood
Necrophagist - The Stillborn One (Although I could never do the solo)
Nile - Hittite Dung Incantation
Obscura - Hymn To A Nocturnal Visitor (minus violin parts)
Suffocation - Synthetically Revived

Each of these are the song I can play best by the band (although maybe I'm wrong).

Anyway pick your three favourite if you like them, and feel free to recommend a song by one of the bands as long as the solo isn't completely insane.

This is gonna be the first time we don't play "No Reason To Exist" by Kreator... We always play that second because my buddy would always talk to the crowd and then I'd jump in with that insane riff....

Although now that I have vocal duties I'm gonna have to talk to the crowd... It's easy to talk at a club because everyone loves metal and they want to hear heavy shit, but at this talent show I'm gonna have my whole school watching.

PS. You might be thinking "why don't you just play your own shit'.

We would but everyone has heard all of the shit from before and I'm writing the new shit... Even my band hasn't heard the new shit except for bass player because he comes over and works on songs with me.

 

I would recommend Death - Crystal Mountain. But Symbolic is good too if you can tear it up proper.

Then maybe Cannibal Corpse - Severed Head Stoning. But again, if Make Them Suffer is your specialty, do it.

But the third song should probably be something everyone in your school will recognize. Maybe a brutal cover of some stupid justin beaver song. lol. Or a good classic like ace of spades or run to the hills or balls to the wall
