Yeah. If u don't belive in the war, and you're pissed at the government, should u even celebrate July 4th? I know it's a historical holiday, but still. Same with memorial day. But if you don't, people will call you unloyal to your country.

 

I guess I feel that it's a pretty Dick thing to do to not honor the dead on memorial day. Those kids signed up to fight essential wars to help protect us and keep us free, it's our leaders who sent (and are sending) them on dumb fucking shit that America shouldn't be involved in.

On memorial day, Honor the Soldiers and give them great respect, while you piss on Nixon and Johnson's grave I guess is what I'm trying to get at. Those kids are the best and if anybody is going to say otherwise I would really be interested in hearing your argument.

i don't agree with the war or government but i'm still gonna celebrate the 4th of July...all through life you parents tell you dont play with fire, until the 4th comes along & they hand you a lighter and fireworks and say, go have fun. it's no longer independence day, it national pyro day!!! For those of you that have never lost a family member in the service Memorial Day is probably just another party day for you too. It's not a day to honor war, it's a day to remember young lives that were lost, and that's what most of us do.

Some of those lost were drafted. It wasn't their choice or war.
