I actually first need help deciding which I want, I have an unmodified version of a picture (aside from the bordering) and a modified version of the same picture... and I can't decide which I like better... any opinons anyone? or this? You can check out the rest of my gallery in my.... um gallery
i like the top one. the colors are deeper and... well, it just looks better in my opinion. cool pictures
i'd say the first is far more striking but the second is softer to the eye. It all depends on what look you are going for
You might try shooting the same shot again with a fill flash. That should reduce your overexposed area.
The first one is more fresh with color and bright, more like an intense morning whereas the second is more mellow like a lazy morning (+ seems more natural) I love the angle and subject matter. Both pictures seem very much like introspection, exaggerating the unnoticed for the sake of expressing their unique addition to our universe. keep it up man
Thank you so kindly meandering... that is really what I was going for, and it's good to see someone appreciate it, as well as articulating it so well. And thanks to all of you for your opinons. Very warmly welcomed. Ya I don't know, for the most part I prefere the top one because of the stark and bold shades of the greens, and that splash of blue there in the righ side... but I don't care for the mush heads. I think I might do a bit of digital editing, amalgamate the two. Thanks for the advice trout, but I tried it with a ton of flashes and all I got was shots that were too bright. I'm not a legit photographer at all, I just have a digital cam and I like to wander around.
The colours are much more dominating in the first one, the orange and green stand out, which is a good thing. It does seem a bit sub-realistic, but exactly that makes it wonderful.
Ok, try this. Use a mirror to bounce the flash off something. You should get more natural lighting that way. Another trick you can use with any camera is to put a pair of sunglasses over the lens.
ooo, thanks for the advice. Which is best the, holding the mirror above the shot, left, right? Or I suppose it would depend on the natural lighting. Thanks again friend.
