i dont have time to search for other threads like this so i hope this will be ok. i have to leave like 10 minutes ago so im kinda in a hurry but i just wanted to post this to see if anyone else has heard of it. i just got an email the other day early in the morning about someone else using my account. ill post what the email said here its pretty funny and im atcually curious as to how many people actually fall for these scams. if you can see from the link the site is a knockoff of the actual site all of the links go to the real site. i was just curious if anyone else has ever gotten emails of came across sites like this. i have never heard of this credit union before so i never had an account. and from the URL you can tell that the address is fake. even firefox popped up after i clicked it the next day that it was a forgery. this came to my gmail account.
i never got an e-mail like that, but it's definetly bullshit. i hope that nobody falls for that scam, and if they do i feel bad for them
send the credit union a copy of the email so they can stay on top of it. I hate greedy selfish assholes. maybe I'll start an anti-greedyselfishassholes club. its a thought anyway.
Remember smokindude sometime this summer. "I just made my family a million dollars" He was so excitted, it was preatty funny.
i did forward the email i posted here to the phishing email address for their site. i thought i would get a responce back but i havnt gotten anything yet. either way its pretty fucked up how this shit goes on. an old dumb person that would get an email like this might not even notice that its fake and just type in their information. i know there is alot better and cleaner ways to do phishing then this. even thought this scam is easily noticed by most people im sure that some people have fallen for it.
notice the link is http, not https. This means it isnt even secure, so its definetly not anyone you want to be giving your info to.
