Hello everybody, I want to say that I have become a big fan of music DVDs. My recent purchase was Phish IT, and wow its an amazing dvd. I don’t really call myself a die hard phish fan but I do enjoy their music a lot. But I never have had that somewhat religious experience of seeing them live. But I wanted to get them live on DVD so I could at least get a taste of what they were like live. And it was tasty stuff!! I want to say that I enjoyed the interviews and hearing from the guys themselves, about what its like to play at a festival, what they feel when they play for such a large crowd, playing for a divine power, and the power of the music. Fishman, and Trey are both highly intelligent and have an amazing way of speaking from their hearts what they feel. I truly enjoyed the performances. The Tower was unbelievable an awesome Idea to play ontop of such a thing, and how they were talking about UFOS, and then Chalk Dust Torture which is a true gem and was great to watch them play live, and then there was “Bug” which I truly enjoyed this song a lot because of the lyrics and how the song flows. Then You Enjoy Myself again a legend which was great to see live. But the one that blew me away the most was “Waves”, wow I was shocked first of all im a poet so the lyrics meant a lot to me about how words can just come to you, but the jam at the end of this one was so great!!! It is sorta like a UFO abduction experience, sorta like something out of Close Encounters of the third kind. So anyway I think it’s a beautiful dvd, other dvds that I have enjoyed are Dave Matthews Band in Central park, Please drop me a line if you too love this DVD, and/or if you have any other suggestions for DVDs to watch. know what. iv been wanting to get this DVD for some time now, and this is the final straw. im gettin it! thanks bro i hope that sometime they will make one for coventry, since i actually attended that one...
The only phish dvd (or any dvd for that matter) I have is "specimens of beauty" which came with the undermind cd. But I've never been able to watch it because I don't own a dvd player. My sister has one but hers is broken.
phish IT truely is amazing. i got it for christmas this year and i am in love with it. glad someone else enjoys it just as much as i do.
