i heard about this, it is going to be crazy!!!! trey, mike and the Duo? touring with Phil?? you just can't go wrong....and on top of it, Phish is going to come back, date undetermined....but damn, its good to hear they will be back. nothing is better to me than a PHISH show. they are the only ones that inspire me to travel long distances.....otherwise the only time i get on the road and go is for a fest. it takes 80 other jam bands to inspire me like Phish does....

Should be a good tour. I'm excited to see which spots they hit and I will def be catching as much of it as possible. As far as a Phish reunion goes.. that'll be interesting, maybe they'll think about practicing this time?

this is just cliche crap that is thrown around too loosley.....not to come down on you... but some of phish's greatest shit happened in 03 and 04......too many people have this obscured idea that phish was a perfect band before that never hit a flat note.....phish always has ups and downs on tours....its jam, it happens......

No, I COMPLETELY disagree with you. I hit almost every show in '03 and '04 and I do not feel that in any way shape or form was Phish at it's best. 2-24-03, IT, Miami, Burgettstown and a handful other shows were amazing shows, shows that brought a lot of us to a very special place but if you would like I can name 10 shows pre-hiatus that blew them away. They were not practicing.. have you listened to a show like 11-17-97?? It is flawless and there a many shows like it because they practiced consistently. If they come back I want some of that old school craziness which those four guys can easily do if they get together and work on some of their compositions.

For the first time, Trey and Mike are hitting the road together for over three weeks of dates, including a double bill with Phil Lesh & Friends for ten shows beginning June 28 in Raleigh, NC. Rounding out the band is The Duo -- Marco Benevento on keyboards and Joe Russo on drums. Though Mike has been performing with the Duo on and off for the past three years, the genesis of the group came together earlier this year when Trey asked Mike and the Duo to join him for a recording session at a Brooklyn studio. Suffice to say, the material rocks. In addition to the new songs, the group will also draw on each other's repertoire and beyond.

Trey and Mike's dates with Phil Lesh & Friends follow below. Both bands will play full shows -- Trey and Mike will close a handful of shows, and Phil Lesh & Friends will close the rest. In addition, The Benevento/Russo Duo will open each show on their own. We expect to announce up to an additional week of Trey & Mike with the Duo dates sometime shortly.

Tickets will be available through a real time presale beginning Friday, May 5 at NOON EST at http://treytickets.rlc.net. Public on-sales start Friday, May 12. Full show and ticket information will be made available at the toudates page, http://www.mike-gordon.com and http://www.trey.com over the course of this week.

JONES BEACH YAAAAAYE!!! SEE YOU AT THE BEACH MOTHERFUCKERS!

Holy shit, Jones Beach, Darien, then Woodstock??? Ohhhh temptation, this tour might send me to the poor house. Well I´m putting Jones Beach in the definite column, and the other two in the ¨if I can afford it¨ column......yeah that´s right, I have columns. Don´t you?

Keep this one just a little bit quiet, but if you´re going to the holdmel show, consider camping at Cheesquake state park. I stayed there when the dead played two nights in holdmel in ´04 and it was very cheap, I think $30 for 4 kidz in 2 tents and 2 cars for 2 nights with plenty of space for our stuff, and full of kind kind folks from the show. I was hoping they would do holmdel right before jones beach like the dead did in ´04 so I could do them both without ever needing a hotel, hotels are fucking expensive and camping is more fun anyway!. The dead did two shows at each that year so I was able to do 4 shows with no hotels, totaly key. shhhhh don´t let the secret spread out too far, the park isn´t that big.

Does ¨both bands will be playing full shows¨ mean they will get 2 sets each??? that´ll be one long fucking show. I agree that phil should get booking over the ¨double duo¨ or however you want to call them just out of respect for seniority, but whatcha gonna do? Anyway, he´s headlining at Jones Beach and that´s what´s important to me. I haven´t missed a ¨living dead¨ performance at Jones Beach in 5 years and I´m not gonna start now!
