What do you predict will phased out, and what do you predict will remain in the future... 4me: Phased out_ books on paper ( a eco-good, yet frightening possibility) Remains_ lava lamps life and love
Umm, I'd flip both of those around. Lava lamps are practically phased out already...and books on paper will remain because good ideas stick around until they're replaced by something BETTER, not something NEWER. Other things that'll be phased out - VHS tapes, landline phones, gasoline-consuming automobiles, 35mm cameras. Other things that'll remain - Weblogs, cell phones, paper money, paper voting
paper money wont be around in 15-20 years. Itll be replaced by a digital microchip that is put into your hand. You dont HAVE TO have it put in, but youll eventually be able to buy nothing without it.
It's true that money is becoming more digitalized than ever...but I don't see that happening. There's enough people out there that would consider that an invasion of privacy that there will always be a demand for some kind of alternative form of payment.
