i want to try peyote so bad. Ever since I liked the doors. I've wanted to try it. I live in alabama and i can possible get mescaline. But i rather have peyote. I wish i would be in a peyote ceremony with some native americans. That would be soooo great. But any ideas on how i would optain some seeds for the cactus plant. I know its illegal. But my best bet is growing one single plant.
It will take about 13 years for your seed to fully mature if you are slow growing it. You can make it grow alot quicker if you use a graft....Basically you attach the sliced button onto another columnar cactus like San Pedro. It makes the peyote grow quickly. Do a search on grafting. Seeds can be ordered online. Just do a search as well. It does take a long time, but growing them definately teaches you to respect and honor this amazing plant.

NO, dont go picking them, if you pull them up by the root's the native americans would probably knock you over the head and tie you down naked next to an ant hill covered in honey. Why? Simple, that patch of peyote has been their for maybe 100 years or more, its sacred to them, because their ancestors used it, their great grandad used it, their going to use it and their children will be taught about it. If you go pulling it up its like your pissing on the memory of their ancestors. I have heard a lot of crap from people who supposedly know what their talking about, like chopping off it's beard.. Peyote (buttons) are smaller versions of the whole cactus that grows on itself, these are traditionally cut off and dried, then eaten, or the button itself is chopped off near the base of the roots and watered allowing it to grow back! Traditionally they leave the spirits money or tobacco and a small prayer of thanks. It can be eaten raw (which is foul as its very bitter) or cooked up mixed with honey and other substances to wash away the taste, as for needing more than one, your having a laugh! Depending on the size of the button, one the size of your fist would send you into the next world no problem! What the preperation side of it really means is, remove the spikey bits before attempting to chew and depending on the size you really dont need loads. Just a little tea-cup sized bowl of it. Would I do it again, nope, once was enough! It lasts for 12 hours, as the guy said in the second video, Minutes turn into months, Hours turn into years, of pure heavenly bliss. Here's what I would suggest; Take one large egg sized button, remove the spines with a sharp knife, cut if up into small squares and don't throw away the insides, put it into a bowl and mash it to a pulp, add hot (not boiling) water and then continue to mash it with a fork or something against the sides whilst adding something like grapefruit juice and honey. Pour into a small cup and drink! Then strap yourself down, your about to go flying around the universe! NEVER use the roots! (appart from killing it, their toxic) Never try it alone, have a friend on standby in case you start freaking the fuck out, so he can look after you until you calm the fuck down.

Morrison, the only place you are likely to find Peyote is on the Internet. Search Google, and you will find tons of websites that sell both the cactus and the seed. You may want to look into San Pedro, Peruvian Torch, or one of the other common and legal psychoactive cacti. These cacti contain the same main ingredient (Mescaline) as peyote. I was always curious about this substance, but now I'm definitely gonna have to do it. Once the warm weather returns I'll do it on the beach with some friends. The movie Fear and Loathing made this drug catch my attention more, it is mentioned quite frequently.
i found some once at my first festival.wheeeew..... ive never experienced ne thing near that... mescaline couldn't touch the high from it, plus we smoked an eighth of opium.... i was so happy i cried, like uncontrolably for the 5 hours i was peaking, intense and beautiful....
