Anyone know of a good site that will ship peyote seeds to the U.S. and that accepts credit cards as a form of payment. I found several sites that had good reviews but had problems with payment. Either they didn't take credit cards, wouldn't accept my card, or sending in cash was my only other option and i don't want to do that.

You may need to contact your card issuer and tell them to allow international transactions with it.

Get San Pedro, Peyote is very slow to grow. Your mescaline content may be a bit lower with the San Pedro but you will be able to harvest much more often. A few feet of well grown San Pedro brewed will still get you there.

I understand that peyote is slow growing but i got a condo now and am no longer moving every year or two so i thought i'd give it a shot.

But it looks like I'm stuck with only san pedro cause i lost my peyote seeds and who knows if i'll find that tiny packet. Well hopefully i'll have some san pedro. Its been a while since i started some seeds and so far none have sprouted.

Make sure to keep a humidity tent on your container for the germination. Once they germinate, leave it on for the first month.

I'm growing some I bought off magicactus right now. They seem pretty good. Not all fo them sprouted though, but I think that's my fault for putting off planting them for so long

guess that would be my problem, should have known these aren't like vegetable seeds where you can just plop them down in the dirt with some water and have them sprout. And from what i understand i can just use saran wrap or a ziplock bag over the top of a container as a humidity tent?

edit - did more reading and figured out what i was doing wrong. Had them to close to the lights and drying out the soil. Also had the seeds covered up with dirt. So i'm starting over and see if i got it right this time around.

Another option for slow growing peyote is to graft it onto pereskiopsis vines... They can show remarkable growth!

Yes i remember reading about that and if i'm correct thats pretty difficult. I don't think I'm up for trying that yet as i imagine the peyote is probably gonna going to prove pretty difficult just getting it started.

I was just thinking i was going to have to order more seeds when i checked my containers and saw that some san pedro had finally sprouted!! still waiting on the peyote though.

The only questions i have left is how long should i wait to transplant and what size container should i get. I've read a couple places that a container slightly larger than plant will do and other places that go as big as possible. So i'm a little confused and hoped someone on here with a little experience could point me in the right direction.

I made a trade for peyote seeds on http://sacredcactus.org You might want to check there. They were giving away free seeds at one point.

Why grow Peyote? It takes years and is very easy to kill if you're not really careful. San Pedro(Trichocereus Panchoi) or even better, Trichocereus Bridgesii cacti will lead you to the same ends many, many years before your Peyote buttons are ready. Good Luck!
