DO YOU REALISE THAT......... Whenever you fill up you are paying 37.7 cents per litre Federal Tax. The Federal Tax is then added to the cost of petrol and then 10% of this Total is then ADDED AGAIN as GST!! So we are paying a tax on a tax, which in fact contravenes the Australian constitution! When GST was introduced it was supposed to replace all other taxes. Please sign the petitiion below to have the federal tax reduced! Forget it. The government is never going to give up a cash cow like that. The situation is even worse in the UK but they do have much lower rates of income tax. Anyway with fuel tax at least the rich get to pay some tax as do criminals. I would like to see the rich pay more tax than they currently do.
Ok.......so the Government has to increase income tax..........or GST so basically you're saying we should cut fuel tax.......therefore causing more people to drive and increase Global warming...........its also the rich that use more fuel.......and Howard would just put more income tax on the middle and lower classes Well Done
My auntire and uncle are mega rich and they got an extra $50 000, just from this years budget, tax cuts........
I used to deliver Pizzas until a year ago so I just had to sign it...Plus I am at Uni slugging my rear end through a Commerce Degree so it makes sense.
