How is it he's so damn good?

And on a similar note, how is it Phil Collins, outside of that one "I can hear it calling," etc. song, is so damn horrid?

When they were in Genisis they sold their souls to the devil: Peter gabriel asked for talent and Phil Collins asked for popularity.

man, he has such an amazing voice it's crazy... I think I actually own a cd of his (pretty nifty considering how small my collection is and how long it's been since I bought a cd)

    'bout sums it up.

To be fair, Phil Collins is an incredible drummer, always was, always will be (have you heard some of his stuff w/ Robert Plant?). But imo he was never a great songwriter. And someone ought to take that drum machine of his and smash it back into the 80s.

Genesis was the best band ever, until Gabriel and Hackett left. And have any of you heard Collins playing with the fusion band "Brand x"? Brilliant stuff.
