I had a friend like that..he would always be making up stories and boast to others about all this crazy and cool stuff he "allegedly" did. He kind of went on a downward spiral though..and now he's in jail for fine's he never paid and stuff lol. You just never knew if he was telling the truth or not...pretty lame.
My ex is a perpetual liar. Should've left him sooner. *sigh* Though I stumbled across him on another forum and the stories he tells about us are funny. Apparently we were married...must've missed that memo!
Yeah had a cousin like that :\ He would cry to me about needing money for food and since ill do anything for family ill give what i had. Until his brother told me that he spends it on his alcohol or friends and makes fun about me being a weak easy bitch to get money off. I have a "friend" like that. It's hard to believe half the shit he says and you can just hear the bullshitish tone in his voice when he speaks. Most of the shit he says he does sounds almost too good to be true and he likes to pride himself as an "intellectual" but every time I speak to him, a part of my IQ dies. Used to be a more straight up dude at one point, now I can barely talk to him.
My sister is like that. Everything's a lie and she has to constantly one-up everyone Yeah, everyone lies.. but some people take lying to an extreme. I must admit though that someone I hate almost as much, if not more than a perpetual liar is a perpetual one-upper
i dunno who thinks they can get away with it, i've known a bunch and they're so easy to pick out. no one has a good enough memory to spout bullshit all the time
I've known a few pathological liars before. I don't think they realize what they're doing. I generally think they're amusing more than anything - the lies are usually harmless and you can smell their bullshit from a mile away, so why not humor them and laugh about it later?
