People with no deep thoughts

How do you feel about them? Are you one of them? There seem to be so many. What kind of person are you if you don't question the nature of the universe and consciousness and how to define morality?

 

The question to me is, should dwelling on another person's thought process bring mine to an unacceptable level to me? Some folks are probably better off not using their minds too much.

 

Well, they say ignorance is bliss and it may well be true,but not for the inquisitive. Pretty much everyone(no,I haven't met everyone) has theories about life ,death and existance--some simple-some complicated and thought provoking. I prefer listening/talking to the latter,but in fact, may one of the former.

 

I often wonder this about certain people. For the most part, if I never have one of those deep, introspective conversations with someone, they are considered 'acquaintances' eternally. Why? Because if you cannot think 3 seconds past your nose, or have never questioned everything that the world has handed to you as reality and you accept it unquestionably...I can not trust you. It is this mentality that provides backwards evolution.

If you do not question those things around you, you are a puppet. I do not like puppetry, and stay as far away from it as I can.

 

If ignorance is bliss then why are so many people in this country unhappy?

they are welcome to enjoy themselves quietly, or far away, without demanding my attention.

of course, depending on details and circumstances they might be welcome to my affection too, just as long as they don't take too much of my time and mental focus away from doing the things i live for.

actually it is good to zen out once in a while. although i've personally found this more often satisfying to do alone.

 

I was thinking and came basically to the conclusion that it depends on the person, so I guess the fact that they don't have deep thoughts doesn't really matter to me.

 

While I'm not drawn to them as close friends, I do think it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round and we can't all be alike so it's cool.

I think the intellectually vacant are well represented on the entire political spectrum... and as far as TV (daytime and nighttime) is concerned which perpetuates which?

 

Daytime tv is good philosophing man.

 

IF IGNORANCE IS BLISS,THEN WHY ARE PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY SO UNHAPPY?

Not that many are unhappy enough,unfortunately. Otherwise,this country would not be in the shape it's in. Ignorance is an excuse only for so long-it can be said to be stupidity after some period of time.

I'm not really in a position to judge the thoughts of others, as I cannot read minds.

You don't know how deep a person thoughts are, you only know how well they express them.

 

I don't think defining morality requires particularly deep thought.

I've never had a deep thought in my head, never thought about the meaning of anything....especially I've never thought it my concern to ponder the depth of anyone elses soul....Actually I don't know what a soul is either but I've heard people talk about them as if they did know and so they must. I spend a lot of time looking at Trees.... the green ones, they're my favorite for some reason. I hope everybody here feels good, I like feeling good.
