I have a routine going; On payday I pick up my check, go to the bank, hit up the grocery store, fill my truck with gas, then go home and pay my bills. It's one busy day, but then I don't have to worry about it for another 2 weeks.

i know, but they dont allow us to count our own drawers, so ho do i know if it really IS short...and its not official like subtracting from our check, we hand them CASH out of our POCKETS...which doesnt seem right at all. the only notice we get is a piece of paper in the crew room stating that we aparently stole from them...sounds McFishy to me:mad:

its like i've always said...never trust a clown.

I have worked in bars with that type of bullshit policy. Please insist on counting your own drawer, prior to your and after your shift. This is your right, since you are the custodian of the money while working. Make your stand regarding this, since it is your pocket that is suffering the consequences.

I can't blame your co-workers for getting a little pissed. You seem to have a good attitude about the whole thing. I do hope the boss makes good on the Monday pay.

I guess what the co-workers fear deep inside is getting fired. The buisness is obviously going through some rough times, and that means that some of them will have to go eventually.

I, meanwhile, am making the buisness completely dependent on me... I do all the work no one else wants to do, and can already do everything my superiors do... and will do all of it for much less pay.

They do it everywhere. A friend works at MacAlister's... they did the same thing to him... he quit.

They like to do that to the Mexican imigrents in this area.Keep them scared.Much like slave labor.Fuck them bosses. They're not going through tough times ,their employees are.Being boss is not a birthright.

Why, are you trying to bring the workers living standards down? They'll use you til you burn out, then find someone else. The business was there before you and it'll be there after you.You sound like a good employee, you should get what you deserve.
My lowest employee makes 10 bucks an hour. That's unskilled, untrained and unexperianced. At that rate i can afford to train them increasing their wages as they learn and still make money off of them.Yes i am a capitalist. Not a very good one though.i just believe in giving everybody a fair shake.

Nahh, I was just jokin... I like my current position and the physical work... takes my mind off the silly things in it... no need to make other workers get laid off because of me or so... they need the money much more than I do. Man, I do wish I'd make 10 an hour though.

I actually found out that the sweat-shop system is legal in the US as long as the workers also get a daily wage. Per example... the female production workers at several greenhouses in the area work for minimum wage, but them get paid beyond that by the amount of units they produce...

Nothing wrong with working hard, just make sure you're compensated. The same for the rest of your crew.Kinda hard with the Mexican work force. Many are scared of losing their jobs, which is played upon by their employeers.Only when they are treated and compensated fairly will the rest of the workers be given the same treatment.

Ya... about that compensated thing... still haven't been paid...

I'm spending money I don't have and buying a cheap laptop on e-bay with the hope that I will be payed this week.

    If I don't get paid...man... that's gonna be a shitter on my credit. :)
