Been greatly enjoying the Pavement retrospective / documentary dvd "Slow Century" recently ... this was one of the best bands of the 90s, they influenced so many people but they never really had the recognition they undoubtedly deserved.

    I love this band:)

They're pretty cool, I've only got the "Slanted and enchatned" album, so I don't really know too much about them.

    Wicked album though :)

I love Pavement. "Slanted and Enchanted" is awesome, but "Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain" is their finest hour IMO, although I enjoyed them right up to the end.

Stephen Malkmus' self-titled debut album I probably like as much or more than anything they did though...

Totally agree with this... it's rare that a solo effort matches or betters what was done before, but that first Malkmus album is a work of genius:)

I used to love pavement in the 90's

I saw them play at reading festival once.. think it was 95..

I was walking about and noticed the bass player was right next to me by a stall, so I gave him an aproving nod and wink and went on with my day

Didn't wanna look like a silly groupie.. Silly me ;)
