no really, the world isnt conspiring to talk about you, to gossip about you . shut up let it go almsot every parent calls their child kid or kiddo whatever their age may be. stop letting others get to you so damn much, their opinon is shit and you sould work on being happy with yourself not so focused on other peopels opiinions of you.

I am 25 and still get called kiddo and sugar by my whole family and even my friends on occasion. I used to get annoyed because I always felt like the baby as I am the youngest of my friends and in my family. Now I kind of like it and appreciatte that everyone always looks out for me and am proud that I AM SECURE ENOUGH TO LET OTHERS TAKE CARE OF ME.
What do you have to prove Chris and most importantly why?

 

I'm 57 years old with a gray beard. I still get called sonny, a nice young man and youngster. I dont mind abit.
On the other had I can flirt with young ladies (30ish) and call them, honey or sweetheart and nobody takes offense. Niether my wife or their husbands.
Every age has its good points.
Then theres people who have to have something to bitch about...???????

My 8 year old son gives out to me sometimes because i will call him child....so then I apologise to him....

In Ireland in some areas, people refer to each other as girl and lad...

Quite nice when you reach middle age....

Although I must admit, I do like being called woman..feels more "grown up" somehow...

 

I'm just saying most people who care so much about what others think about them are lacking self-approval. I'm not judging as I am sure everyone has gone through this to some degree. I just hate to see it taking over your life. I had a really hard time liking and accepting myself when I was younger and other people didn't like me until I liked myself.

maybe you could take into account that sometimes from a 50 yr old person veiwpoint, at 18 you are still a kid.

or you could try and realize that people aren't out to get you, and that maybe they just called you "kid" as a name substitute... like bud, bloke, chap, dude.

 

Perhaps you don't look like a child, but a young goat?

yea my advice as always chris, is to take a blunt to the dome. and quit bitching about everything. the world doesn't revolve around your silly little problems. People call me kid and sweetie all day and I don't give a fuck because it doesn't matter. I focus my energy on the important shit in my life instead of stressing about silly games and stuff that you like to play with people.

besides, no matter how big you are physically, you're obviously still a child and you've proved that to us on this forum many times. Not to mean that in a bad way but enjoy your youth. Enjoy your innocence. You have a lot of life to live and if you spend it bitching about silly stuff, it will be a waste of your time. Try to be more positive. And smoke a cone homie. It'll make you feel better.

 

I think this is relevant to every post you have made here in the mens forum.

If you were to stop looking for external causes to every problem you come across and look at what is actually causing the problems, you might be able to sort them out.



Here is an example:
Id like to have more money. Should I blame the fact I have no money on everybody being out to get me and not employ me, or is it because im too lazy to go out and find a job?!

Don't most people??? I'm sorry but this statement cracked me up. :lol: About the actual post, I really think you'e taking people's offhand statements too seriously. It doesn't sound to me like the people calling you kiddo are doing it to be patronizing. The other statements that pissed you off (weasel, gangster, etc...) are understandable, but honestly, that's just how some people are, and you're gonna have to get used to it. There are people in this world who will call you far worse things than these, and you're giving them the reaction that they want. And as for your parents calling you kid or kiddo, I think you're out of luck on this one. You are their kid, you will always be their kid, so I don't really think they're calling you kid to talk down to you.

 

Chris, key word is eighteen. You're still a teenager. And when you get a girlfriend when you are 28, she will call you her 'boy' friend. Get over it.
