I have a problem with the name "Patriots Day" (and do not get me started on the "Patriot" act)
Every Sept. 11 we are now subjected to Patriots Day. What did the 9/11 attacks have to do with Patriotism? This should be a day to remember those who died through no choice or patriotic act of there own, and those who sacrificed themselves to try to save other human beings.

Whoever was culpable for the attacks, the victims remain the same.
Sept. 11, a day of reflection and remembrance, not a day to celebrate patriotism.

I know. I'd never heard about "Patriots Day" until maybe reading on a forum or hearing it on the news. I then looked at my calendar closely - and yup - there it is. I agree with you completely.

I agree. The name doesn't fit the day at all. Thinking about Sept.11th doesnt make me feel patriotic, just sad.

Exactly, on Sept 11 we should be thinking about those who died for no reason at all. And those who risked their lives to rescue fellow human beings, no matter what race, creed or religion they were. There is no patriotism, no nationalism, just humanism.
