"It's not right!" shouted Hilton, who violated her probation in a reckless driving case. "Mom!" she cried out to her mother. Hours earlier, the 26-year-old hotel heiress was taken handcuffed from her home in a black-and-white police car, paparazzi sprinting in pursuit and helicopters broadcasting live from above. She entered the courtroom disheveled and weeping, hair askew, without makeup, wearing a fuzzy gray sweat shirt over slacks. Hotwater
Doesn't she just look so "hot" in the back of that police car. Poor manipulative Paris the mean judge gave her what he would have any one else. He didn't treat he like the star she thinks she is. (I for one think that her "condition" is non-existent. )
Thank god someone got what anyone else would have... most of those girls think they are goddesses and can do what they want... maybe she will learn there are still rules... even for spolied whores.
woooooooooYAY paris hilton!!!!!!!! fuck me paris ohhyeahhh thats hot thousands of people go to jail each day all over the country. people i know are get locked up like every other day for like my whole life. but paris?? shes special because shes rich i guess. sooo what im trying to say here is I DONT CARE NIGGA
No shit... what is it with these damn people writing books about stupid shit... and people buy it? If I went to jail and wrote a book about my "experiance" no one would care. Bastards. I'm hoping so... but I'm sure she won't....
I've been told about this four times now. Just debated why it's such big news and your reactions confirmed that.... it's fucked that she was allowed out so easily though and awesome that that bs reasons that were expected by some were pretty much confirmed. :spliff:
My first reaction is in line with the above posts but I feel compelled to pause and wonder how much of that gut reaction is because the media has painted such a villainous picture of her and we're all acting in accordance with how the teevee is telling us to. Whether or not the heiress serves her time, my life does not change. If indeed the regular defendant serves out the entire sentence, whatever that really is, then she should also. A public mob mentality against her isn't going to change the fact that there are others who use the system to their favor and get away scot-free after looting the retirements of hundreds of people or destroying an ecosystem. The images of her have been carefully selected by the media to fan the flames of righteous indignation and tie the hands of a judicial system that should be able to operate without prejudice. The image I get of her is that of a very dislikeable brat. If this is accurate, and if she has used undue influence to try and get an easier sentence then by all means throw the book at her; but it's impossible to get an accurate picture of what's going on without actually being there. Otherwise we're at the mercy of the media which feeds off the misfortunes of others without regard to the lives it ruins in the process. Its only objective is to gain an audience from a population that proves time and again that it will put its own neck on the line to ogle a car wreck. Responsible reporting is not profitable.
