Parents, I need your help. It has recently been brought to my attention that a dangerous substance is being used in schools across the nation. This substance although having been banned for thousands of years across many continents is currently legal in America and in use by school children as young as 7. This dangerous substance can cause children to have dangerous thoughts and even be driven to visualise things that do not exist. This substance has been known to give rise to dangerous people throughout history being used in the early lives of people such as Osama Bin Laden, Lee Harvey Oswald, and even Adolph Hitler. So why, you might ask, is this substance not banned in the United States yet? The shocking truth is that this substance is not banned because many members of our own government routinely use it. Some even openly admit an addiction to it and advocate its use on children starting as young as 2 or 3! Please for the safety of your children and the future of our country help me to ban the use of books in our schools.
kids are so fuckin lazy today that they wont carry an ipod if its one of the older bulky ones...a book is out of the question
This reminds me of a post that was put up on an environmental buletim=n board about 15 years ago. I don't remember the exact wording of the post but it was essentially a warning about the dangers of Dihydrogen Monoxide. Stating that if heated its vapors can burn you and is extremely dangerous if inhaled. It is used to cool nuclear fuel rods, and is a primary ingredient in most major insectisides. It is used in food additives and perservatives and is found in smog. The repercussions of this posting included a petition banning Dihydrogen Monoxide. Debate on how to dispose of Dihydrogen Monoxide once it is banned etc..... The elemental signature for Dihydrogen Monoxide is H2O. It was a very effective experiment on how to use words to create Hysteria. Peace Out, Rev J
AAAAAH! OH GOD NOT THAT! Seriously though, when I was little (I learned to read at two) my parents would encourage me to read any banned book I could find.
Mine too I am so glad my parents encouraged me to read, I still love it and I can't imagine what I would do without my books.
The used to call me Red. Not because I had red hair but because I red a couple a books once. Peace Out, Rev J
To be honest, I first thought of crystal meth, thanks to one of those "OMG THIS IS SERIOUS STUFF" emails that people are so fond of forwarding. Then I saw the line about two and three year olds, and thought of preschools. And then I saw the final line and hit myself in the head for being so stupid.
I like to read fantasy books. Dungeons & Dragons... One day this kid was messing with me because I had long hair and I said "I'm gonna get Drizzt Do'Urden to kick your ass" It didn't help but it was pretty funny. Does anyone here know who he is?
