Parents Convicted in Baby's Death

27-year-old Jade Sanders and 31-year-old and Lamont Thomas will receive automatic life sentences for starving the boy, who weighed just 3.5 pounds when he died.

Defense lawyers said the first-time parents did the best they could while adhering to the lifestyle of vegans, who typically use no animal products. They said Sanders and Thomas did not realize the baby, who was born at home, was in danger until minutes before he died. But prosecutor Mike Carlson told the jury yesterday during closing arguments that they are ``baby killers.'' The jury deliberated about seven hours before returning the guilty verdicts.

That's awful. Poor sweet child.

And what the heck where they doing giving juice to a 6 week old infant?! The soy milk (do they mean the formula or actual milk?) I can understand, as a lot of people give their babies soy formula, but the juice? Geez, these parents must not have done any type of research prior to having that baby!

I wonder how much the baby weighed at birth.

You'd think that they would have brought the baby to a doctor way before it got that light. I wonder if it was born premature or something.

That can be applied to blind conservatives... whose applied misconceptions have lead to the death of tens of thousands.

Why there isn't more of a violent uprising I don't know. Perhaps we the sheeple have been lulled into too deep a national trance where TeeVee programs are more important than international crimes being committed by the people we allegedly elected.

Sorry for the hijack... I believe a life sentence is appropriate for the parents in question. Perhaps selected government officials can be hanged.

my mother made the silliest comment... she was comparing my sisters baby and mine (she has a lil boy who is one month older then my lil girl and who eats about 16 oz bottles at a time) and well my lil girl is decently chubby while hers is like a rail... my mom looked at me and said I bet you could feed an army with those... lmao ... it was way unexpected to say the least... i bout peed


back to the point.... how could their baby be so small and they didn't realize something was wrong... were they completely ignorant or just really stupid?

They should chained to a post in the center of town and starved to death while people spit on them and poke them with sharp things.

300 years ago, that would have been the punishment.

 

reading a book or two on how to care for a baby may be a good idea.

 

Use barbed wired instead of a chain.
