my mum has planted some seeds and now theyre about8 inches tall after two weeks or so? i dont rememebr when she planted them, so give a take a week lol. anywya the leaves have lots of pale spots on them. they are a discolouring of the leaf, it doesn look like aphids or anything like that, there are just pale dots all voer the leaves, like tis a disease or something. can someone help? i might be able to get some pitcures soon
whats the ph of your soil? kinda sounds like it might be a ph problem, which can cause other problems. sure i've read that ph problems can cause little spots on the leaves ... check http://www.overgrow.com/edge/showthread.php?s=&threadid=502075
If the spots are uniform size and color, look closer- they may be bugs or eggs. or you may be locking nutrients, or simply lacking something. More info? What color are the spots? Are the plants in the ground?
nar theyre not any external thing, theyre a discolouring in spots. theyre like white, but more like pale green. theyre random all over the thing, like someones used a feint MSPaint-airbrush the plants are in pots, and some reaching a foot. but my mum is a really good gardnener with most plants.. but whenever it comes to weed shes a bit of a retard lol shes replanted them into bigger pots.. but she hasnt aligned them in teh soil properly. when they were in smaller pot, they grew very horizontally because of the way the sun was. but she didnt take this into acount when replanting them so now heaps of leaves are facing the ground lol. i hope they turn out well. im gonna consult that link you sent me. but yeh, theyre uniform over the whole plant, randomly speckled, and really small, the size of little eggs and such, but theyre marks on the leaves, and theyre pretty much jsut colour, no texture noticed
Deficiencies begin showing at either the top leaves(new growth) or lower leaves(old growth).Do you recall where the spots first began as that info in needed to determine the deficiency? Also are the leaves curling at all,sides,tips,under/ over etc. There is alot to determine before diagnosing!
the bigger leaves ar getting wider, does this look like its an indica? though theupper leaves are thin, i dunno how the plants mature n stuff well yeh that should be all teh info you need for diagnosis/? oh and i have seen a bug or two, and an egg or two but no infestation
oh and as you can see, the spots are on all leaves, though some of the very bottom leaves have shrunk and gone yellow you can see waht a silly thing she did lol that left pot had like 3 plants in it lol, i think she planted them too close in teh first place and so she didnt want to break the roots apart. oh well hopefully theyll grow better as we come through spring and into summer
theyre not having teh best time atm. weve had the most fucke up weather, one day being nice and sunny, thenext being cold and stormy, and we have like weeks of wet and weeks of dry sometiems, and its relly annoying anyway theyve been gettingt drenched over the last few days, but got strong sunlight at soem points too oh i hope at least one grows gooda dn strong. id laugh it was the retarded one
Is there anything to comment on the slight bend in many of the leaves of the lone plant? theyve sort of exentuaTED i think, are they a genetic fault, or something to do with its environment?
well, the plants have changed a lot, i might get some mroe pictuers for diagnosis caus i cant work the next problem out theres one plant that has those leaves, and its got some difficiency now or some chemical imbalance, so ill have to check that up the leaves on that plant arent growing very big, theyres lots of thin, not so long leaves. but the plant still seems to be growing more leaves, and bigger. i think it needs mroe light on the plants in the one bowl, they all seem to be growing fine. though, one is beyond retarded. i dont know if it was the retarded one or not, but one of them is really small, and is growing lots of random, three leaved branches, actually all the leaf sectiosn have three leaves, and the plant is small, and darker coloured than the rest, but still seems to be growing fine wihtout any visible sicknesses, so i guess its just got bad genes. i found out from my mum that there were two types of seeds in the mix, so i think that these two mentioned plants are from a bad batch, but the others are from a good one caus theyre growing well, beside a tiny bug problem. ill get some pics going
actually, since the first mentioned plant has small leaves, and is drooping, and has patches of discoloouring on the veins, i think its zinc, but yeh ill get some pictures
