hey, I have a question. how can I get my doctor to give me painkillers? I kind of want them for fun, but I do really suffer from pain, I have bad knees and suffer from bad migraines. I currently don't have a doctor, I stopped going to my old one like 4 years ago, but when I went to him he would only give me Motrin that never helped the pain. the only thing that seems to work are oxys, but they are becoming hard to find and money is very tight. and I figured why pay so much when my insurance is only a $10 copay. so I decided to try going to a doctor again. should I just go to a regular doctor? or do you think if I just went to a pain management doctor I would have a better chance? do you need a regular doctor to send you to a pain doctor, or can you just go? so anyway what should I say to make him give me oxys? I mean I do have genuine pain. the migraines are so bad at times, I can't do anything I can't even sleep. they come like once a week or two. and nothing helps. I don't want to sound like an addict to him. also if I do get him to give me them. what can I say to get him to give me the regular ones not the ones with Tylenol? I mean can I just be like I'm allergic to Tylenol or something?
this should probly be in the opiate forum...but whatever if you do go to the doc, just be straight up with him/her. they will decide whether you need the meds or not. don't suggest anything like asking for some oxy or somethin. it'll just seem like you want it to get high. just tell them whats wrong and if theres anything they could prescribe you to help. if the doc decides that you don't need these meds and you still think you do, see another doc and get a second opinion.
just get them off the street, there is no way u will just get meds for migranes, maybe some t3s but no way oxy lol
actually, i get mepergan (50mg mepiridine, 25mg promethazine) from my doc for migraines. it's an opiate. not really worth a fuck unless you take a bunch, but still. plus, i don't really like promethazine.
It'll be a process, but you can probably swing it. Go to your normal doctor, and complain. Hell give you something, probably advice to try tyleonol 9normal kind). Wait a week, go back, say it still hurts. You will basdically do this until you gt what you want. Doctors ( I suppose especially PM doctors) are legally required to treat your pain if you complain. Of course if you do anything suspiscious, such as mention drug use, its a different story. But everyone reacts differently to painkillers, so while hydro may be enough for most, you may require oxys. Just keep on keeping on and eventually they will give you what you want, they have to . Be smart about it and it will work out. The Mushroom Man
no dr will prescribe strong pain killers for migraines unfortunately, tell the dr, your back hurts, can't sit up straight, can't walk standing straight, can't sleep on your back, etc.. you get the idea.
Im with buddy SPENS, I like tram better than hydro. Well actually, I dont like either anymore but in my early days of opiate use, 200mg of tramadol BUSTED any high that I ever got from 40mg or more of hydro. but fuck both, Im getting some 80s today!
Wow, I felt absolutely nothing from tramadol. That is a really spotty drug it seems, some people really get an effect and others like me don't.
The only way I can get any sort of buzz from tramadol, by itself, is to take 15-20+ of them, then lay down on a bed or sit back in a comfy chair. I have to be VERY relaxed to feel tramadol, but when I find that relaxation, the tram buzz is very powerful. Unless you can take a bunch of them and get in a very relaxing position, then they are completely useless, recreationally.
My doctor eventually gave me Fentanyl for my migraines for 2 years. Would still be on them but detoxed off awhile back. Now I'm given methadone + percocet for them.
i went to my doc hoping to get something good for my back that was hurting and she just gave me flexeril that shits no good, just makes me sleepy
