Can I be first to congratulate you on another pointless thread? :H ... Before I go, though.. Jimmy Page iZ tOo c00l fer sk00l mAn!!!11!
liek omg, yer soooooooooooooo kewl! Buddy Guy is probably better than Jimi Hendrix... he's far, far better than Page. ...and like I said before, Jimmy Page shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Jimi. If you knew music, you'd definitely know that
lol their music styles have nothing to do with this post. Why do people think they know everything about music? lol kinda funny. And Buddy Guy isnt better than Jimi Hendrix but im glad you put your opinion up. Afterall, thats what this is right?
It is debateable, but...... not only did Buddy teach Jimi hordes of stuff, but he's still playing today. Surely people get better as time goes on if they keep playing Download some live Buddy, and you'll hear that Jimi has almost nothing on Buddy playing live today. damn you george...
well if jimi didnt get caught up with drugs, he would have lived past 27, and mos def would of put out hit after hit. Agree or Disagree? And I will check out Buddy, I have no room to talk as i havent heard him yet.
oh btw soulrebel, whats with your response on the 'hendrix' post? I believe it went a little somethin like this: "I believe he's the greatest guitarist to ever live... he wasn't human I haven't listened to him in ages, but he's the person who got me to pick up a guitar." COME ON, YOUR NOT FOOLIN ANYONE. ADMIT IT, HENDRIX.IS.GOD
i dont think hendrix would have made hit after hit. he was already losing it before he died and people were getting bored of him. he is mad good though, but i think page is the best at his own style. hendrix just had monster hands.
ok dude. you know the alternate past and future. you have been there and everything i mean come on now, you do know everything.
Hendrix was lucky coz he died near his peak. That tends to make an instant icon out of anyone (Kurt Cobain). But I guess we'll never know if he could've stayed there 10 years down the road. Well, actually I DO know, because I have a time machine. And according to my time machine... if Jimi didn't O.D. at age 27, he would've lived to a ripe old age of 28 and O.D.'d then. I guess my vote goes to Page. They're both great, though.
I guess no one knows for sure how his career would of turned out if he had not died; probably more drugs, but with that comes new material. But in my personal belief, band of gypsys had great music to come.
