The most important thing to bring to the apocalypse is a camera so you can take photos to show the grandkids later.

How much time? Do I have time to plan ahead with my packing, or is it gonna be a last minute thing? Will I be able to cancel the milk, take out a huge loan, that sorta thing?

I don't know how much time... I'm assuming we have time to pack and that we have anywhere from hours to a month.
