hi, ive speant the last couple of months or so trawling the tinternet in search of the most viable and OTC route to certain phenethylamines notibly those of the MDxx familly.
obviously the easyest route in terms of the chemistry would be the safrole/isosafrole route, but as i live in the uk (with my parents so cannot have anything TOO suspisious turning up on the doorstep) it is not so easy to come by safrole.
the route i am now investigating starts with Anethole.

    http://www.erowid.org/archive/rhodium/chemistry/peracetic.chromic.html

my question is once you have rearanged the glycol intermediate to the ketone, can this be made into MDP2P? im assuming that after oxidation and rearangment you are left with Phenylacetone (P2P), so how would one go about attaching a methylenedioxy bridge to form MDP2P?
ive found it abit confusing the way it is written. there is another article on erowid which i have lost the link to that implys Anethole/isosafrole are interchangable if you get the mmol ratio correct.
could anyone shed some light on this please, anethole and the reagents used in this synth are all fairly easy for me to obtain.
    many thanks,
    Clan.

It's going to be difficult to have a lab in your parent's home. They don't need too much space, but you can tell it's more then a science project.

Haha na it won't be setup here I'm moving out in a few weeks, I dnt particularly want to order anything too suspicious to any residence of mine so am trying to find the most economical route starting from OTC precursors, I looked into piperonal from black pepper but after sum reading it seemed to be far from economical:/
