I've been looking for oxymorphone (I'm not keen on getting the additional charges if police find lab equipment for a partial oxymorphone synthesis, or whatever they think it's for). Are there any meds that contain a reasonable amount of oxymorphone without fillers that are not easily defeated (the gel shit is a turnoff). Oxymorphone seems like it would be a good high, and a reasonably good rush. Any experience?

Check it out on wikipedia it was really abused in the early 70's and is what bobs is referring to when he talks about "blues". Opana is all I know about

    Guitar...

You are SO wrong my friend. 1mg of Oxymorphone taken orally is roughly equivalent to between 30-60mg of Morphine (depending on the user) taken orally. As Chak mentioned, its slang name in the past was the "blues" because the tablets were small, round, blue pills, and the brand name Oxymorphone first patented as a pain relieving medication was Opana.

As far as I know, Opana, the original brand preparation, can still be found at a pharmacy, however, I've never met anyone who's been given a prescription. Also, I believe it is in short enough supply that if you happened to get a hold of a script, you'd have to wait a couple weeks for your local pharmacy to order it in - cause most normal drugstore pharmacies don't keep it in stock.

so, clearly, good luck finding it, i doubt you'll be able to raid a family medicine cabinet and find a couple tabs of oxymorphone laying around...

One time, about a month ago, I was looking throgh my Aunts old meds. I know for a fact that these were meds that she was not currently using. And I came across a bottle of 8, 20 mg Opanas. Talk about a jackpot. Good thing I had done my research as the bottle just said opana. I nearly wet myself when I saw em. Anyway ill just say they were all gone in about 4 days. Guess I just got lucky. Good times, good times. Oxymorph is now my favorite opiate.

Oxymorphone is the holy grail of opiates and i would love to try Opana!! but damn i've never seen or heard about anyone having it...btw Oxycodone is converted into oxymorphone in the liver....so im thinkin if u already have it converted to oxymorphone makes it a lot more soluable or something in the body?? how was the high on opanas? did u crush em and snort? do they crush easily? do they feel like oxycodone?

I know a bunch of friends who actually managed to get their hands on a pharmacy 200 count bottle (not sure of the mg per pill) but they said that it's way too strong too enjoy and just makes you fall asleep pretty imminently.

Oook, I take back my earlier statement. Perhaps raiding grandma's meds actually WORKS!

Gizmo man...I wish I knew your grandma...Mine won't take anything stronger than tylenol for her pain. She comes from the old school of "if it hurts its your own fault" - guess you can't blame her, growing up during the depression.

    Gizmo, you're a lucky man

ive had oxymorphone once, RIGHT before it came back into the market. from a stash that was hidden in a hospital storage room. (my buddy;s dad owns the hospital, and i guess they were his stash) OLD OLD bottle. it HAD to be from the 70s. and yes they were blue.
i wasnt an addict back then so i didnt know the value of what id received, but i can say that the one time dosing on it that i had, was very much the best opiate feeling ive ever encountered.... good luck to all in their search for more. ive been unlucky thus far.

Ya, I know I got lucky. I was screaming with joy the whole ride back from my Aunts house. I was so excited. Wish I had a few right now. I hope every responsible opiate connoisseur has a chance to try em at least once in their life time. Good luck V, you never know when or where you will find your treasure. Later

from what i understand is opana (SP?) was just approved in 2006 from the FDA and oxymorphone was only available in IV form until just recently. Just google Opana and all the info you need will come up.

Prescription Drug Is Oral Form of Painkiller That Used to Be Injection-Only

June 23, 2006 -- The FDA has approved a new prescription drug to ease moderate to severe pain.

The drug, called Opana, is an opioid pain reliever taken by mouth. It will come in an extended-release form, called Opana ER, and an immediate-release version, simply called Opana.

"Both products are expected to be commercially available in the U.S. in the coming weeks," states Opana's maker, Endo Pharmaceuticals, in a news release.

The drugs contain oxymorphone hydrochloride, which was previously only available by injection. Endo Pharmaceuticals plans to relaunch the drug's injected version for hospital use under the new trade name.
