Yeah, wats that all about? with the wallpaper an stuff? Overthrow the GOVERNMENT, perhaps we can argue...but PEOPLE?! How strannge.
Hundreds have posted about the same thing, truthfully, unless skip answers, no one will ever know why that says overthrow the people... Peace and Love, Dan
We live in a democracy that is under threat by its own government. The government is constantly trying to take away more and more of the people power, thus they are trying to ......."overthrow the people"
Or perhaps it' saying that we should try overthrowing mainstream. or maybe not...too hard to explain, and probably not worth it
Conservatives believe in government by the people & of the people with freedoms granted by God, with as little government interference as possible to live free. Liberals, by definition, believe in freedoms granted by government, which always leads to limited freedoms of every kind. So to "Overthrow the People" would mean to take power & freedom away from individuals and give it to government in the form of a socialist, communist, or totalitarian government.
Well, most revolutionaries believe that they are working "for the people" but in fact if most of "the people" heard some of the stuff they are saying they would give them a damn good thrashing...
Go to www.bushflash.com and in the top left corner there is a video called Facism Bush Style. Watch it!
Of course they're for government by the people, that's why Bush "won" in 2000 If they were truly for a government BY THE PEOPLE then Gore would have been president, because they would have accepted that he won the popular vote (a.k.a. the majority of the PEOPLE)
REally, I think they did it on purpose, jsut because they knew that people would wonder "Why the fuck does it say "Overthrow The People!"?"
I think skip said on a thread way back in the day that it was refering to the bad people, the military/industrial people.
"Overthrow The People" Hey -- I know the answer to this one -- except I don't know now because I forgot. So much counterculture stuff passes before me that I can't keep track of it all. But sometime in the past month I ran across a photo from the 60s. It was a photo of some well known figure as I recall in a room maybe with a group of people and there on the wall was a poster or something saying "Overthrow The People". And I said to myself "So that's where that comes from." Maybe it was a photo of John Lennon or Bob Dylan. I just can't recall. While this doesn't provide the complete or final answer as to where "Overthrow The People" comes from or its original intent, it confirms that it has a bona fide connection to the 60s period. So obviously someone knew what they were doing when they used it as wallpaper here. We just need to find out the details. *** One Nation Under God They Killed For Jesus They Died For Bush ***
