i had a dr appointment this week, and because i haven't been having any false contractions or lighting pains the dr said i'll most likely go over due. which is no big deal really, but then he said the baby is probably small so they did an ultrasound to get an estimate on his weight, which was 7lbs 5 oz!! i looked at the dr and i was like i though you said he was small!! now i'm scared i dont want to give birth to a 10lb baby! its weird this pregnancy has gone by very smoothly, barely any morning sickness and every test i've done has come back with great results, i don't think this baby wants to leave!
ultra sound isn't know to be accurate at predicting weight after 20 weeks gestation. it could go +/- in either direction as much as 2 lbs. so ultra sound prediction could be as accurate as me predicting your babies weight i wouldn't worry i've heard so many stories of such innacuracy.
