$22.00 to fax off an application, damn I should have done it myself with the computer ans scanner. USP store is a rip! Oh well, suppose to let me know late today about the job to make sure they have everything and all is well. They said they take in in Wed, but might open a spot for me this Friday, I shall see.
I think its a trucker thing, all these places set up to take a chunk from us, lol. If they offer truck parking, be sure they want some money, guess UPS caught up on the action a little too. Oh well, if this lines up right Im back on the road making pretty nice money and wont have to deal with truck stops as much.
Actually its the type of run I have always wanted. Terminal to terminal. Leave Springfield MO terminal and drive to Amarillo TX terminal then back again. Make 4 flips a week and home for a few days then repeat. The roads out that way are all 70+MPH, ony one scale house to worry about and weather/ road conditions are normally real nice. In the trucking world it is a gravy run and hard to get. Im not counting on them letting me do it since alot of others likely with better qualifications are also applying for it. Its a brand new run they have. If I get this and its what they say, I will retire doing it, lol. These types of runs are the ones that there are only a few ways you get in, (1) prior driver of it died. (2) Luck (3) You know somebody
