I have a property in BC Invermere, its in the mountains and very remote.
I can only visit the property pobably 4-6 times through spring to fall.
I was planning on growing an easy, early flowering sativa, and planting about 20 seeds around a creek, water rich area in the spring. Im just worried that it may not work out. I should be able to find an area that gets about 8 hours of sunlight a day with a good water supply. I would have to plant the seeds, and come back every about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks to check.
    Any ideas?
any help will be greatly appreciated

You need an area that gets more than 8 hours sunlight ;)

Doubtful you'd get a big plant, if you start from clones you may end up with them flowering. In prime growing seasons outdoors you get at least 14+ hours of sunlight a day plus sunrise/set. Think about the summer.. it's sunup at 7am and not dark until 930 or later.. That's a lot of sun.

It would be easier to grow an indica strain since it would flower way earlier than a sativa

Keep in mind if you have plants indoors, e.g. clones and move them outdoors... they will start to flower if you had them on a longer photoperiod than what it is outside. e.g. you used 18/6 and are planting in May.. you prob ably have less than 18 hours sunlight.. thus your clone starts to flower.

Don't plant them too close to a creek, think about the creek overflowing and destroying your plants, your plants like the soil to be a bit dry between watering.

Visiting 4-6 times a year isn't good unless you plan to plant feminized seeds.

i visited a 6-plant crop about 5 times during the summer. (3 before, 2 after culling males).

by harvest day, 3 plants were stolen (containers and all???), and the other 3 went purple under the frosty nights.
total yield of 3 plants: 2.8 grams

morale: THEY NEED SOME ATTENTION, YOU CANT JUST PLANT AND HARVEST ALONE.
