An older movie from 1995 starring Dustin Hoffman and Morgan freeman.

A movie about a virus outbreak and a pandemic.

Kind of reflective of present day 2020.

Just saw it on Netflix. I recommend it if you're sitting in quarantine.

It was one of the first R rated movies I saw in theaters. I seem to remember being indifferent towards it but perhaps I'll give it another try.

From what I gathered, it just had immunity and thus carried the antibodies, which I don't think was really explained but I guess we're supposed to infer from the virus being around 30+ years in the monkeys in Zaire. It carried 2 strains, one that was passed through saliva, which was the non-airborne type which a couple people got sick from as well as the other monkey in the lab and one initially passed through blood which was the one that wreaked havoc on the town and was airborne and the reason why the protagonists needed to find that specific monkey.

If humans evolved from monkeys, shouldn't we technically be immune to these monkey diseases?
