    interesting find.
for those too lazy to watch a six minute video on youtube i'll summerize:
scientists have developed a way of stimulating the brain using electricty through a rigged helmet. by using some different patterns they can induce feelings of weightlessness, leaving your body, and even scary feelings such as being 'taken' by a dark force, usually described as satan or aliens.

Here are two accounts of oobe's that no scientific explanation debunks. Both of these people saw things they could not have seen. My fiance saw things from a different town 250 miles away. I got an email from someone in that town asking if she told me about it, which she had. Explain that!

My friends grandma was clinically dead while in the hospital. That very same time, two of her friends showed up to visit. They were told it was not a good time, come back tomorrow, or something. They did. When they spoke with her she told them they were there the day before, and they said oh yes, did the nurse tell you? No, she said, I saw you. I floated out into the waiting area and saw you. They scoffed, so she told them both what they were wearing. She told my friend that before that she had been afraid to die, but after the NDE she wasn't at all afraid anymore. She also described the tunnel, blue light, warm feeling of welcome...etc. It was 23 years ago, I can't recall all the details. The trip to the waiting room is what I found cool.

A few months ago, while I was visiting my fiance in hospital, where she was still rehabbing from a severe brain injury, she looked at me with wide eyes, and said "See the ducks in the park.", i said when you get better, we can do that, she shook her head, wide eyes, trying to make her point, "see the ducks in the park." she said it at least three times, and then dropped it. I replied the same way as the first each time, but knew I was missing something. This was at a time when 3 word sentences were rare for her. the norm was one word. Pudding, More, Hi, etc. I went online after I got home about four hours later and checked out the posts at a webgroup that I had requested prayers for her from, and had been blessed to receive many. A woman who I had been in contact with from Portland Oregon (250 miles south of here), had a message for me. "Ken, did Eileen mention seeing the ducks in the park, cuz she really enjoyed it?" This friend wrote that to me that on her lunch break when she went across the street to the park and fed the ducks, my fiancees spirit visited her and enjoyed the visit. I wouldn't have believed that, except for the fact that she did mention it, three times. I replied to her question. 'yes, she did.'

    1. the mind and body are not two seperate things. they are an intergrated whole. your mind has an image of a body, and whenever the signals from the body get confused, or stop all together, your brain creates another(a ghost, or phantom, or fasle body if you will). you can use a variety of methods to do this, including the electric impulses i linked too, as well as using a mannequin, a mirror, and a stick.

Your subconscious is much more powerful than people give credit. it can pick up on massive amounts of information and intergrate the information. Whenever you move your eyes you are actually blind, but your mind is able to fill in the gaps to create the illusion of sight.
it's possible, if not likely, that your grandmother was in some way aware of all the ideas in your example. the fact that relatives visited could have been said around her, or she could have heard their voices.

    2. in this story you give a good example of how humans look for patterns obsessively. Your friend could have said anything, and you could find a confirmation somewhere in the universe. she could say 'beware the camels' and then you'd find someone who was diagnosed with lung cancer and smoked camels. she could say "to the zoo", and you see a documantery on zoos on the discovery channel.
it's a self fufilling prohecy, it's how horoscopes work (the only good way to read a horoscope is to read them the day after, they are rarely accurate).

If they hooked you up to the brain scan machine. It would show that even when you see and touch physical reality "the real world" it is still just electrical circuits firing in your brain.

But you may be thinking, but then someone can just go over and see the same thing and touch the same thing to validate? Well yes, but hook them up to the machine, and it will also show that what they are touching and seeing is still just electrical circuits in the brain.

When you break everything down enough, even the physical world. It is all electrical firings in the brain, it is all just illusion, the physical world is just a collective illusion. But people have many collective illusions outside the physical world as well.

Showing that OBE cause electrical firing in the brain does not disvalidate them anymore than showing the physical world cause electrical firings in the brain.

All those scientists have stumbled upon is what shaman, Vedics and Hindu's have been saying for thousands and thousands of years. It is all an illusion created by your mind.
