yeah one time when i was ripped i was meditating and i started to have out of body experiences... is that normal for meditation?
It can happen - but perhaps you could describe your experiences, as there are different types of OBE's. When you say ripped, do you mean on weed or something more powerful?
ok... i had smoked about two bowls of dro in a bubbler, and i was listening to techno, kinda going into a trance. i had begun to meditate, because the feeling then, to concentrate, was bliss. i went into a deep trance. well, further in, it was like my soul started to almost pull out of my material body. minutes later, i (my spirit), was just floating right above my body. then, almost suddenly as a new beat in a song, i raised up into the air, passing right through the roof above me. i started to slowly fly around in the air. later, i started to fly much faster, having more control of my travel. i could fly, disintegrate, and travel through material objects, such as homes. i could fly, then dip into the ground, feeling the earth around me. later, i flew much much faster, traveling to the ocean. i dove into the water, going down deep until light faded away. i then rose back to the surface. then, i started to have this tingling feeling, as if something, almost energy, was building up inside of me. this tingling feeling continued for about 30 seconds, until it happened... suddenly, the energy inside me almost exploded, and i exploded into extreme motion, traveling away from the earth, probably getting almost to the speed of light at times. looking back, i saw the earth, getting smaller in my field of view. i cascaded through fiels of stars, and i realized the grand beauty of the universe. however, just as that thought passed through my mind, light faded around me, almost as if being sucked in. i looked behind me, and saw nothing, but i was being sucked into it. then, two words passed through my mind: black hole. the further i was swept into it, the further everything (light, heat, hope) faded. i was then in the center of the great mass of the hole, however i was still headed to some infinite point. i looked around me, half blind, and i saw my body falling, tearing apart. however, my body was not torn peice by peice as in flesh and blood. it was almost as if space and time itself were being torn apart, and existence itself failed to be. from my eyes, i saw what was left of my body, still floating towards that center point. when all the parts of me reached that point at last, it was almost as if the pressure, the abyss, was so extreme, that i resumed almost. my body came back together, but not in the same place, much farther away. then, similar to the feeling i had before, i felt a tingling inside of me. i felt the build up, of energy, as if from emotion. then, without a sign of control, i sped towards earth, much much faster than i had before. i began to see the earth once again, but i was traveling so fast that in a blink of an eye after i began to see the earth, i zoomed, almost exploded into my material body, and i woke up, instantaneously. that was easily one of the strangest experiences ive ever had, and yes it is the truth. it happened on october second, 2004, probably at like 7 pm. have anyone else had experiences like this?
Your story is very interesting. Perhaps you have some psychic gift. I have had two OBE's - one years ago on LSD, and one quite spontaneously. In the first case, it happened the first time I tried acid, back in the early 70's. I wont try to go into all the details of the trip, but at one point, a kind of wholly irresistable vibration siezed my entire being, and I felt my consciousness fly up and out of the body into a space of just light and indescribable bliss. I have no idea how long it lasted - from an external measurment of time, perhaps only minutes, but in the experience itself, there was no sense of time at all. Or of a 'me' that was having the experience. The second occaision was totally different. Once again this was back in the 70's. I had been out on the town all night in London, and at about 7.00 am. I found myself walking through St. James park. It was a sunny morning, and I felt tired, so I lay down on the grass. Then, after some time I got up, walked along the Mall, through trafalgar square and up charing cross road, about a mile and a half. Everything was perfectly normal. Suddenly, with a kind of pop, the scene disolved, and I was lying there on the grass in the park.
oh boy... that reminds me of something... back in 2001, in early septemeber, i had a strange dreami saw a a building, but a close up of it, i could not recognize the building, as my vision was close up so that i saw only a portion of the building. then, minutes later into my dream, i saw an object slam into the building, with a roaring explosion. i heard the screams of many. i thought nothing of the dream when i woke. about a week later, 9/11. i thought i was crazy. plus these out of body experience from smoking weed... man if i ever do shrooms or acid then i am going to be out of this world... yeah but black bill blake.. what all have you had happen, as in "crazy stuff"
I have had much crazy stuff happen over the years. Where psychedelics are concerned, I feel that I should say something more. When I first took lsd, I was totally unprepared for an experience of the kind I had. I had little interest in psychic things, mysticism or anything of that kind.back then. It was acid that woke me up to all that. It was an experience that just happened, in the final anaysis as an effect of lsd on my particular psyche. At the time, it left me stunned. I took the drug again twice shortly afterwards, and had very negative experiences of a very different nature. But to me, it was like a revelation of something - at that time I had little idea what. After a few years I began to experiment again - but I have never had another experience of leaving the body in that way. In fact, it was made clear to me that that was a one off thing in my case - and I accept that. In general, it is impossible to say how a particular person will react to acid - there are so many variables, and everyone is different. But I know of very few who have reported similar experiences to me. In effect acid was for me an initiation. These days I am more into pursuing higher states of consciousness and so on through other ways, in my case, mainly yoga. If you have had the experiences you say, and I don't at all disbelieve you, I would be cautious with psychedelics. To some, they seem like a shortcut, but this is just not the case. Cannabis is more gentle. As for other phenomena like preminitions and such, I have had them many times, and I'm sure many people do. When I said you might have psychic gifts, I meant more the ability to project your consciousness out of the body as you describe. Love & Peace.
yeah man that is as you describe very intense, i cant personally relate to an OBE although i do believe they happen, and i imagine that expereince was very personal, alot more meanignful that the words depict. Anyway keep us informed, im interested to hear and search more about outer body expereinces.
