I had a beautiful Solstice with my children today and thought I would share some pictures. We woke up for the sunrise and later found a gift from the Mother ..... a lovely rainbow!
We read some Solstice books and we also made some sun cookies. We had a big yummy dinner and it was just a great day! Thanks for letting me share!

We mostly read stories from the book 'Circle Round" Which any Pagan parent MUST have.... Also a book called "Celebrating The Great Mother"

Tarabeth, your kids are gorgeous, they all have your eyes. Our tuath celebrated last Sat night. There are so many of us that we have to have gatherings when it's convenient to the group.
It was great. I wore 5th century garb and the green and skulls applejack hat made by hip moon that celt grrl bought me for my birthday. I was like the Celtic HuggyBear. And I drank an entire bottle of bully hill and didn't spill one drop of candlewax on the new carpet... cuz, y'know, I'm a big boy now...
That is so awesome YellowBelly. Last night I was just talking to my husband about what you did with your kids for the Solstice. You've given us a lot of great ideas to do with our kids! Great pictures, thanks for sharing, and glad you all had a great Yule!
