    Just to keep you updated.

I have filled a swap box with 19 items and am sending it to Barefoot Hippie today! It's not really a craft swap box, though there are some craft supplies in there - it's more of a "white elephant". You can put things you have that you don't want anymore or just want to share. All I am paying for is postage. I have a few people signed up, but could always use more. The more people, the better chance of getting to mail it somewhere close and keeping the postage costs down.

    Let's do one right!

So guys[IMG], Barefoot Hippie has gotten the box and should be mailing it out to Seahouse soon, as soon as she has refilled it. We will have to keep updated through this thread, as the other is closed. When Seahorse gets it, let me know and I have the next address - nearby to you, I think[IMG]. Have fun!

Anybody that wants in, just PM me your address. As each person recieves it, I will give them the address of the nearest person who has signed up. I'm excited that Barefoot Hippie has recieved it and is going through the stuff. She said she liked the incense. TaraBelle

    *Bump*

Gals that signed up for my swap box, I just wanted to let you know it died with the first person it was sent to. She has had it for two months and has not answered my latest PM.

I would like to start it again, but I'm not sure how to guarantee that it's just not going to die again. Someone suggested limiting it to people with a certain number of posts, but alot of the people who wanted in my swap box don't have tons of posts. Has anybody had any success with these being sent on? I'm open for suggestions, I think it could be fun, but I feel slightly taken advantage of and don't know how to insure that it gets sent on. Don't you think this could be just FUN? I spent less than $10 on shipping, everything I put in there was free to me. I'm thinking I'll start again, but send it out in order of who has the most posts of all that have signed up. That would be Seahorse. Would you send it on, if I send one to you, Seahorse?

I started a swap box (in a now closed thread - this is the thread I started to keep updated). I sent it out in the first of April and now it's seems to be dead and I feel bad for everyone else that signed up.

Basically, it's a box filled with stuff - you take what you like out of it, add stuff to it and mail it on.

I'm still willing to start it again, but please, only sign up if you have the means and drive to get it mailed out again. It cost me around $10 to mail it to Canada on the other coast, so postage is not all that costly.

I don't remember if I signed up for this swap or not. I am always interested, but they never seem to get to me. I'm not sure how you can guarantee that folks will send them on.

i've signed up for about 5 swap boxes over the past couple of years and have recieved only 2, but i suppose that's relatively good compared to some of the stories i've read on here. the first one i ever recieved was AMAZING! i got a badass crocheted hat in greens and cream colors, and a dread bead that i saved, hoping i'd have the balls to dread up my hair someday. now it's in my hair! it's a fat, ceramic bead with a turqoise and green color on it. it has wavy ridges-it almost looks like a tree log. haha and yes...that's my story!

Well, I'll sign up anybody who is willing to pass it on! I'm starting with Seahorse as soon as I get verification she still wants in. In the meantime I will start gathering a new set of stuff.[IMG]

I'm going to give some of them the benefit of the doubt and think that they are too lazy to wrap up a box and make it to the post office or even horrific family problems or got thrown in jail or something. I would hate to think it was actually greed. [IMG]. None of us are like that, right? But, Cre, under my new plan of it going to the highest number of posts first, you are second on this box! I've got quite a bit of stuff already gathered, but must get more!![IMG]
