Tell me what you REALLY enjoy the smell of. It can be your favorite food, Cologne, perfume, etc., or it can be
something way out of the ordinary. When I was a kid, I loved the smell of gasoline (can't stand that shit now). Now I have this strong interest in the smell of brand new tires. Its so damn hard to resist walking by some on the shelf at an auto parts store or an auto shop where old tires are being replaced with new ones.

I remember when I was a kid standing over the grid of a local pub and just loving the smells coming from that cellar..

Puppy breath, why is that so cute?

Pinesol! I don't know what it is, not quite lemony, not quite piney, but I really enjoy it.

Yes, regular pinesol has its own distinct scent, not to be confused with any other cleaner.

Yeah, is the smell different because of what cows and horses eat, I wonder?

the combination of diesel exhaust and creosote around railroad yards. that was/is one thing.

another is a kind of prostrate cedar called kit kit diz, or mountain misery.
(that latter name makes no sense to me, unless you're trying to remove it,
because while it looks like maybe an innocent relative to a fern, its actually a very tough and hardy tree,
that instead of growing a virticle trunk, spreads outward in all directions like a nest of vines.
its also been called tarweed, though that might be do to its resemblance to some other aromatic plant of that name)

the fur of some animals while they're alive and its on them.

some industrial solvents who's fumes are probably very bad for my health and lungs.

mj smells good. tobacco smells like shit. except some cigar and pipe tobaccos before they're lit, that smell like graham crackers.

one intentional smell that smells good is vanilla, which my mind connects the smell with raw cookie dough.

quite a number of cooking smells smell good to me that some people say smell bad to them.

I like all of those smells you mentioned, especially the creosote. I never new what that smell was around rail yards, I figured it was something used to treat the wood in railroad ties.

I love the smell of fresh cut wood, cut by a circular saw. Hell, I like how the saw sounds as its cutting into plywood, 2x4, etc., and look forward to that smell in the air, which is a combination of sawdust and the heat friction generated from saw and wood contact.

Yessss! I knew bacon would be mentioned eventually- damn I love bacon! Just waking up and smelling bacon being cooked, always makes it a good day for me!
There's a bread factory back home that I remembered as a kid, that always smelled like buttered toast! I was just home recently and smelled that toast smell again, and it took me back over 40 years! Oh that was soooo good!!!

I cant stand the smell of new cars, not so much new car tyres, but new cars, and apparently its a thing, a lot of people get sick from brand new cars

Never been sick from it though. My wife has a newer car, but as far as I know, hasn't caused us to be sick. I will look into this though, there have been some misterious headache issues going on for awhile.

    Leather....

Of course I used to work in a leather shop making custom boots, so it's something involving memories too.
