our new hippie bus :)

sooooo wow...theres a sister on these forums that i already l,oved and thought of as more then family..we adopted eachother shortly b4 the colorado gathering and we started dreamming about buying a big ol hippie bus, and a couple tipi's and just doin the total nomad thing..
well along came blinkin from the highway child tribe sellin this beauty here

and blinkin gave us such an amazing deal we jumped on it even though we really couldnt afford it
chevy (dylanchick0113) is working a second job and putting her entire pay in on it..gotta love that girl!!!
we're hopin to go pick her up sometime soon and get started workin on her
she needs the 2nd floor finnished (and probly 2 more rooms added upstairs) and needs to get converted to veggie oil, and a few other lil things added just for long term conforts sake, but other then that we'e really getting excited to get on the road

anyone have any suggestions for names?

hmm augustana..thats interesting & l'amathews..i cant take any credit for the "purchase" since i'm broke as hell..lol i coulda never pulled it off without chevy, but then again she might not have escaped tulsa without me so maybe we're even..lol but yea we're very excited bout her

just wait till shes finnished..i have a design in mind for the interior, if i can make it work out, i wanna add on 2 more buses or vw's ontop..then build 3 bedrooms that lift up into them on chains

oh we are also lookin for a free or very cheap junk motorhome to strip some parts and stuff outta if anyone has 1 lyin around

I have lived on a stationary schoolbus for 5 years, and I don't even think of it as ever moving, until I read your post, and remembered that our bus home was indeed a vehicle, and you could travel in it. I have to say that everything as it now is would fall everywhere, crash, bang.!!! I guess life on the road would demand some new arrangements of "things".


School buses are so nice to live in, we have completely surround windows, and now I can't imagine living without being able to see everything outside. We have a beautiful, natural , forested view.

When I read about adding rooms etc., I started fantasizing about all the improvements we could do to make it better than ever. I love that loft in the picture, made me want to crawl up there and hang.

Well, Have a great time with the new bus, and traveling too. Sounds like so much fun........
