how many of you actually vote in the other, more "minor" elections?

how many of you realize they are JUST as important?

it pisses me off too, because my neighborhood in boston gets screwed around with a lot...but that could be prevented if people from the neighborhood actually went to the meetings and hearings and voting things about those issues, we might not get fucked with...but since they just talk about it, we get fucked with...i can't do anything other than write to the city councilors since i am at school, but atleast i try to help out...some of these people just whine when the city fucks around with us...its bad.

yeah, good! what some people dont understand is... the president doesnt make all the decisions. congress, senate, etc... make a lot of decisions too.

you gotta start local and go up. this helps to stop some idiots from going up too. :)

I vote locally. I think it's just as important, if not more than the Presidential Election.

well, of course. i didnt say that... i said just as important but i know it's possibly even more so. people think the pres. has all this control but the senate, congress and other smaller offices and local positions are the back bone. without that, there would be nothing.

i mean, presidents typically dont pass laws. that's congress...just an example. but everytime i go vote it's a bunch of old ladies, born republican and keeping it up. and it's sad. :( young people just dont usually care but they sure bitch.
    :(

I vote in every election as my tuition, how much funding my program gets and how much funding my mom's department gets is directly decided in part by voters.
